I often think abotu my childhood, and how much I'd like to go back to that era.... and I thought it would be nice if we all shared our favorite moments that time period.

I know that it may sound silly and insignificant, but when I was about 5 years old, my dad worked in Texas, while I lived in Pike County. I would go a month or so without seeing him while he was away, but... this one day.. he came home. I was told the entire time not to expect him before Christmas... and then one day, a 'special delivery' came... It was my dad at the door. A few days before christmas, and he had a model/toy train for me. I'll never ever forget that... we spent the rest of the night setting up the tracks and building the train with all the cars.....

He passed away a few years ago... but that memory will live on for as long as I live.
