Favorite childhood memory?
#7
I'd say mine would have to be when I played on Paintsville's 9-10 year old basketball all-star team. Redneck, Irish, myself, and a lot of the boys we all played sports with over the course of our years went undefeated in the state of Kentucky, won 5 tourneys, and finished with an overall record of like 29-1. We were the first team from Paintsville to win the Scott Co. tournament, which at the time was equivalent to the state championship because teams from all over the state would show up. The only game we lost was in a Huntington YMCA tournament against a team from Bronx, NY. The goals were 8 ft. and they had kids duking all over us. Those days are where my best memories come from.
