I have the Blackberry 8830, which is pretty well the same as the Curve. The only difference is the Curve has a camera and mine doesn't. I think you will be satisfied if you go with the Curve, especially after the good experiences I have had with my phone. Like I said though, they are not considered the same phone, but can be linked in the same "family" if you wanted to call it that. Below are the two phones side by side. On the left is my phone, and on the right is the curve. As you can see, pretty much the same.
