Aint heard the first thing mentioned about that. Whom might be the "they " that is doing the asking and whom might be the "they" that are turning down it down. Lets hear some names here.

For one thing Charlie Adkins field is not Paintsville High School's field to begin with. It is a City Park, and the last I heard Johnson Central was also located inside the city limits.

Johnson Central will more than likely not be ready for opening day, but you will be surprised at how quick things can take shape from this point on with a couple of weeks of good weather. They should be able to play on it sometime before season's end I am sure. The infield and outfield will all be sodded and you can play on it in just a couple of weeks after it is installed. All of the fences can be installed in just a couple of days as well. Stop to think about just what it is that a baseball field is comprised of, and you'll see that there is really not all that much to one. It's just grass , dirt, a few concrete blocks and chain link fence. The very basic of all constuctions.

Everybody kept saying that there was no way the Cal Ripkin fields would be ready in time to play on a couple of years ago too, but guess what, they were.

I think it really all looks worse than what it really is. There's just not all that much involved to building a baseball field.

Wait a minute....are you saying that "they" didn't because you had not heard it?
I did not put it out as fact.....just put out what I heard...if someone has heard different, then they could let us know....isn't that they way these boards are supposed to work?:thumpsup:
