You are very defensive in your post, Devilstory. I haven't seen a single person question the accomplishments of these young men, nor has anyone "hinted" towards cheating, etc.

People are looking for the other names, numbers, and schools of young men that competed in the meet, but that in no way is derogatory towards the accomplishments Russell achieved.

Also, I've talked with several coaches on different levels about power meets. Nearly unanimously they agreed that they do not like the idea of them at the high school level. They noted that on a high school budget it can be very costly. Also, they believe it is a large distraction for the young men. The most surprising answer I heard from many coaches was the fear of steroids and other performance enhancers. They say that at a young age that kids that are very competitive or believe they are the best and meet the reality that they are only good, but not the best get lured into the trap of these dangers.

To say that most schools that have the athletes to compete is very far fetched. From my personal experience there are a wide array of factors that come to this conclusion.

Congrats to all of these young mens' accomplishments. On any note, the numbers shown for their weight classes are great and they all deserve a great pat on the back for representing Eastern Kentucky well at the meet.
