Breathitt scored 591 points last season, they finished as the second highest scoring team in 3A. Thats pretty darn good considering that they outscored teams like Russell, Somerset, Lou. Central, and Paducah Tilghman.

Yes they were able to put up very good numbers.....But as someone who has grown up watching Breathitt I saw a team that had to work a lot harder to get those yards than in past years. The receivers were not getting as open due to the lack of speed, and the corners were undersized and while they did well, had a lot of trouble against big, physical receivers. The lack of size is what has hurt Breathitt in the past few seasons, but I hear they are getting a fresh crop of athletes and that hopefully will make things easier for them. Breathitt while putting up big numbers, has been inconsistent at times lately. Their defense has been full of holes mainly because their corners and safeties inconsistent, and they are usually the same players that play the receiver positions. I wish Breathitt the best and I hope that what I am hearing is true out of Jackson......Go Bobcats! You have to take into consideration who the points were scored against, not very good teams.
