Harlan County vs. Letcher Central - Aug. 29
Benchwarmer Wrote:Those non-district games out of their class don't mean a thing. These smaller schools play bigger schools to be better prepared for district games. Afraid to play better competition? Makes no sense. Harlan County has 1400 kids. That is even huge for 5A football. About 15 more boys and you would be playing 6A football. Now it's not your fault you are put in this situation but it's really not fair to all the small schools playing you for district games. Another way of looking at it you will have more boys (700) than some 3A schools have kids (Henry County 667 total students). What does numbers have to do with it? Harlan County over 90 players. Most 3A schools 35-40 players. So stop complaining about people complaining.

"Stop complaining about people complaining" What do you think you are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked the Letcher folks a question and apparently everyone thinks its there business. As I said before we will still have the same number of players on the field while the game is going on. I think it makes perfect sense to say they are afraid to play better competition why else would the not want to? "Those non district games don't mean a thing" WHAT? Playing better competition makes you better and shows people you have a quality program and are not AFRAID to play anyone. Seems like every time you mentioned something you contradicted yourself.

If people aren't on Harlan County's schedule they have no reason to complain.

This is something people are just going have to agree to disagree on because I believe we could give pro's and con's till the cows come home.
