Taylor County used Leonard Macon to do everything but work the concession stand. The line was pushed around all night and they could not stop the run or the play action pass. Monroe keyed on Thomas and Macon and Taylor was down 49-12 by the 3rd quarter. Leonard Macon is a great athlete, he had most of the yards for the Cards. The best play Taylor County had was a fake punt to Macon....the Cards ran that play at least three times and Macon cut through the Monroe County defense like a hot knife through butter twice. A very disappointing start for the Cards but congrats to MC..

I watched the first half and I could just feel the buzz in the air at Taylor Co. I heard people saying the Cards could have an 8-2 season. I guess this game put a end to the Macon hype. Macon is a great athlete no question about that, but he is also very lazy and walks around on the field alot. The first half they didn't give Thomas the ball nearly enough, and tried to just dropback and air the ball out. Turpin also hangs on to the ball WAY to long, and the Monroe Co. pass rush started to get to him.

I think Macon has realized now that he isn't in Danville anymore. There he had other players who could make plays, but at TC if he doesn't make the play it want get made
