I think it is great that these teams are getting attention that they don't normally get (Allen Central), or haven't gotten in a long time(Paintsville). However, if these two teams had played Pikeville's schedule then their record would be the same as the Panthers, 1-2. This Friday's game between AC and Paintsville will tell a lot about how strong these two teams really are. Pikeville needs one or two of these district teams to step up and be legitimate opponents so their district will be stronger. This would make the Panthers better in the long run, and with the strength of their non-districet schedule already very high, it would help them prepare for the playoffs each year.
