You guys are acting like because Pikeville has lost two games right off they are equal to their fellow district opponents who have trailed them in recent years. The truth of the matter is Pikeville has played two good football team in Corbin and Ashland. Yes, Ashland isn't in their regular form as in the past but when they play at home they are a tough team to beat. I can recall numerous times where Pikeville has lost one or two games early and then came back to walk through the district. You guys are punishing Pikeville for playing good teams early on, but this will only make this youthful team better in the end. Also, you guys are acting like Paintsville and Allen Central are just very good caliber teams. Paintsville got stomped by a decent P-Burg team that was without their best running back because of injury. I understand that they scored a TD or two but if we are classifying scoring on someones second string late in the game with your first string then I think we need to re-think this somewhat. As for Allen Central I think they have a good team for them, but they will never be in the upper pack of the district. I think the only way this topic is going to be settled is by these teams strapping it up on friday and the talking will do itself by the end of four quarters.

Pretty good analysis. My gut tells me that Paintsville will be better than they have been the last couple of years, and AC is much improved. However, in the end the Panthers will roll over these two opponents on their way to another district title.
