I'll say this, Coach Kinner has gotten his career off to a pretty good start all things considered.

And you are right in the fact that Matney is a good coach. But considering that JC has pumped in enough money to match a small college's budget on facilities and coaching and considering the size of the school, Matney should be in the finals every year. With Matney's high pay, he should be turning in awesome results every year. So far he has been able to do it! The true test is whether he can keep it up in the years ahead. I wish him the best. Because JC really doesn't compete with Paintsville, they are in different classes. But Matney's success brings recognition to Johnson County and Eastern Kentucky and that is what I like to see from a state level. And if Paintsville exists in the same county and has success as well, that makes it all the better. Hopefully Kinner can continue the great Paintsville tradition in Class A. Good luck to both teams!!
