What is class? None of the Pikeville coaches or players were doing anything extraciricular. After every TD a PAT was attempt. They ran NO trick plays. They weren't airing it out every play. They didn't take violent hits at anyone. All they did was play football. That simple. When Daniel Harmon and all the other SRs came to play this year this is what they came for, to play football. Not to sit on the sidelines, not to play one half, to play 10+ GAMEs. Is it fair that Daniel Harmon should sit out because someone else's feelings might get hurt? As to my knowledge all of the Panther players showed respect to the South Floyd players. So, I think we need to re-think what class is. Maybe if you want to say that you don't need to make people feel bad about themselves by beating them, then sure, say that. But this is not the Pikeville teams of old. It is a middle-class A school that is just playing football. It isn't their job to worry about other teams. They just need to go out and play the game. HAIL PIKEVILLE!!

You know you are right about the Seniors or any other kid on the team. They want to play as much as possible. They have that mind set of of leave me in coach, give me the ball coach. And no one would expect anything less from any kid on any team. BUT, it is the coach's job to take care of his TEAM first and foremost. When your team is up on a team by 50 points in a game. The coach isn't doing any of the kids any favors by leaving them in. The Head Coach is solely responsible for who is on the field. Of course DH and the others want to play. But, what if he or any of the others you speak of, go down with an injury in a game with a 50 point lead. You don't just jeopardize his season, but the team's season as well. How would you feel knowing that you just cost that kid his last year of football in a meaningless drive, because you didn't stop and think. Come on Panther. I know you and you are smarter than that.
Get those starters out after one series in the 3rd. Preserve you players and your season.
