Glad to see the value both teams place on the defensive side of the football....

Actually Ashland's defense has been very good this year. Woodford is the first team to really spread Ashland's defense out and use the passing game stretch the field. Besides the abilities of Duckworth and company, who did put up 33 points on Johnson Central, special teams killed the Tomcats. Woodfords skill people are very good. Their kickoff returns were a threat to take it the distance every time. In the second half Ashland had to pooch kick or just kick it out of bounds.

In the end The Ashland Defense stepped up and that was the difference in the game.
