Notorious, I think you are right on it. When many of these types of actions are shown, it's generally to highlight and address an issue. Rarely do you see it just for pure shock value, so yes, when it is addressed properly, nothing is off limits. We choose to watch, thus don't take away my freedoms to watch or not.
