As far as what statistics were included and what stats weren't, I have no idea. I just used the KHSAA.org website along with the Johnson Central record books to gather the stats from the previous years. So I have no idea what games were included and what games weren't. After re-evaluating some stats, Gator is correct the 2008 stats were just through 10 games. Although the stat of 5,900 yards is astounding for a difference of 1700 yards in three games. To answer your question on J.J. Jude's yardage last season, he had 258 yards rushing through the 10 games mentioned. The 2007 stats are for 12 of 13 games. 2006 included all games and 2005 included 10 of 11 games. I presume the rest are for the full season.

I have never claimed line play to be my expertise, I'm more of a defensive mind in general. But knowing the ropes in the trenches, I will say this: Lack of experience on this years offensive line and losing the best line coach this side of the state is a big blow. Most recent four seasons I mentioned were of the Matney era and included Tony Burchett on staff. Bugs' blocking schemes have always been simple and easy to understand but never easy to defend. Combine that with the ability to make adjustments on the fly, and it was a dangerous ground game that was ready to explode at any minute.
