Highlands does not depend on Collingsworth and could win without him, SK would have a difficult time winning without Simpson. Getting blownout in the state finals does not make SK more composed than Ryle in my opinion. I believe it would be very similar to the HHS/Ryle game (close 1st half and then HHS takes control in second half. This would have made a good game this year, too bad we won't see it.

I think SK showed that they can win without Simpson. The NCC game Sinmpson was not a key player in this game. (He had seven carries) The neers have other talent that can fill his shoes. The defensive line is strong and can stop Highlands. SK depends on Simpson they same way Highlands depends on Collingsworth. Getting blown out in the state game did make this team more composed and disciplined and they will show the na sayers the same they showed them last season.

neefan beat me to it and I agree, SK can win without Simpson as well. Though you are right, HHS is not completely dependent on AC, but AC plays the same roll as Miles does this year for SK. They are the big play guys. SK has really impressed me as they have not yet relied on just Miles to set the tone for them. That is different than las year, where Miles literally put the team on his shoulders from the Campbell County game on. This is a different Pioneer club than last year. So I do not agree with your assessment of SK needing Miles more than HHS needs AC, they have already proved that they haven't.
