I think SK showed that they can win without Simpson. The NCC game Sinmpson was not a key player in this game. (He had seven carries) The neers have other talent that can fill his shoes. The defensive line is strong and can stop Highlands. SK depends on Simpson they same way Highlands depends on Collingsworth. Getting blown out in the state game did make this team more composed and disciplined and they will show the na sayers the same they showed them last season.

Playing NCC without him is different than playing Highlands, X, Trinity, ect. without him. And Highlands does not need him to win; But , it is very nice to have him. I feel SK would hurt more without Simpson, than Highlands without Collingsworth. I also wonder if you have seen Highlands play ( I have seen SK play 2 times last year and 1 time this year)? I can tell you that SK would not stop Highlands Offense. You might slow it down a little, but not stop it. If SK was to beat HHS, I believe you would have to put up alot of points on the board. SK would score on HHS defense, but I just do not believe there O could outscore Highlands O. I still believe you would see a close first half and then Highlands would pull away in second half ( with better overall team talent and better coaching adjustments at half time.).
