This isn't new... I remember Nixon having an Energy czar.
I don't normally reference Wiki, but I'm not going to spend a couple of hours researchiong this. FDR apparently had the first czar back in 1941.
Dub-ya had more czars than the previous nine Presidents COMBINED.
He had 500% more than Clinton did. He had 1700% more than his daddy.
He had more than Obama has now.
Did you complain then?

VH, I always said that a person is never to old to learn, and today I learned something new. In all honesty I never new of any of the previous adminstrations having czars, I tried checking out a few site and according to these sites W had anywhere from 12 to 35 czars during his tenure as president. The fact that W had appointed these czars still doesn't change my opinion about them, IMO a president should not have the power to appoint whomever they want into these positions without some type of conformation.

Good. After Bush's antics, he needed to. What kind of "Super-power" are we if we still can't find 1 measley cave-dweller after 7 years and how many man-hours?

.....and just think Clinton could have saved us all this trouble if he had taken care of your cave-dweller when he had the chance before 9/11.

How many times has the U.S. been attacked since 9/11?........ZERO, seems like they did a pretty good job of protecting our butts now didn't they!

What would be wrong with having some consistency, either let everyone have their day or not let anyone have their day.

2nd - who would lead the prayer? The US doesn't have an official religion. Wonder how many we have? Let's give each religion 5 minutes of prayer time. So 12 per hour for 24 hours allows 288 of 'em. That'll cover'm all, right??? I'm for that... but who gets stuck with 2:35 a.m.?

3rd - and again.... This isn't new... Bush had dinners too. Did you complain about them? He held EIGHT of them, you know.
Or, more specifically, did you complain about the one he hosted TWO MONTHS after 9/11?

Bush also had a national day of prayer every year. It's not a matter of having dinners it's about having dinners for one group and not another.

I'm glad you were able to laugh, so you don't think we are having these bills rammed down our throats. Let's look back at the last 8 months, first there was the 787 billion dollar stimulus package that had to be passed now or the contury would fall apart. Once it was approved it took Barry 5 days and a trip to Denver to sign the thing. Then there was the Ombious Bill, then we had the auto bailout remember it to had to be done quickly so GM and Chrysler would not go bankrupt, we all know how that turned out don't we. Now we have the cap and tax bill that has already cleared the house without anyone reading it and don't forget the 300 pages that were added at 3am on the day of the vote. Let's not forget healthcare remember Barry wanted it approved in July. The Sentors themselves don't even know what's in these bills, heck even Obama said he didn't know what was in the bill.
What other adminstration has ever tried to pass bills of this magintude in their first 8 months?
