From what I understand NCC had some turnovers and the play calling during crucial drives was poor at best.

Its too bad Chris Kelly has to endure this losing season because that kid is a workhorse and a great football player. The Breds may be down for a while as I am not hearing good things about the talent coming through the ranks. Brossart may be snatching some would be Breds.

Both teams had critical turnovers at bad times during the game. So they were even from that stnadpoint. Both teams poorly timed penlaties, but mostly Defensive Encroachment, which tells you how emotionally charged these two teams were.

It came down to each teams top offensive weapon and former Red Devil teammates, Kelly against Kremer. Chris had a dominating game, but during the the drive that could have put NCC up by two scores, Jake Rebholz blew through the lines to stop Kelly in the backfield twice. That put the game in Kremer's hands. He picked the NCC D apart and Buzzy Johnson made an absolutely incredible TD run that gave the game to the Camels.

The NCC fans would be upset with the playcalling during NCC's answer drive to the Johnson TD. On a night that saw Kelly run through the Camels, NCC started to pass. At that stage, they were at midfield with 2:00 to go. At that stage, and knowing how Rebholz was keyed on Kelly, NCC really had no choice but to pass. It didn't work out, and Cory Hodge made a great INT that snatched the game away from the Breds.

It wasn't really a bad game from either team. It was the way that this game goes down every year.
