This is a link to a very interesting article. It is about Black Republicans running for Congress who believe that the color of their skin will actually help them 'tell it the way it is.' I believe black democrats would call them race traitors rather than racists. Glen Beck recently hosted two black conservative shows and had a room full of successful black people of various backgrounds, some were business people, clergy, talk radio hosts, etc.; I would love to see race baiters Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson debate these independent thinkers and superb role models for the black community.

I have contributed to Lieutenant Colonel Allen West's campaign and will continue to do whatever I can to help him get elected. He has served his country well in times of war and peace and has done some pretty remarkable stuff. He will definitely vote to keep our country safe.

In his Army career, Col. West has been honored many times, including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award. He received his valor award as a Captain in Desert Shield/Storm, was the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year in 1993, and was a Distinguished Honor Graduate III Corps Assault School. He proudly wears the Army Master parachutist badge, Air Assault badge, Navy/Marine Corps parachutist insignia, Italian parachutist wings, and German proficiency badge (Bronze award).

Aside from Fox News, the major news networks pretty much act as if black conservatives do not exist - and even FNC regularly welcomes the race hustler Rev. Al to speak on behalf of the "black community."

Conservative radio hosts like Neil Boortz and Rush Limbaugh turn their shows over to conservative black guest hosts like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, and Herman Cain on a regular basis. If not for Limbaugh and Boortz, most Americans would never have had the opportunity to hear their voices. Cain also has his own local show in Georgia. IMO, Dr. Sowell and Dr. Williams could both have been successful talk radio hosts had they chosen that career path.

I also saw the Glenn Beck show where he hosted black conservatives. I do not believe that we will ever see a similar show on CNN or MSNBC.

I hope that Obama has not forever spoiled the chances for a qualified African-American who believes in this country to become president one day. Col. West sounds like a great candidate with a promising political career ahead of him.
