As I said before, the way this tournament and the C team tournament is done this year will be a lot different next year because it is the first time having it and on such late notice. The only way you could do it this year would be have the clear cut rule of 7th grade and lower being eligible for the B team tournament and 6th and lower being eligible for the C team. From a coaches point of view, that is straight forward and clear cut.

The problem I fear that will come up this year with some teams, and please do not take this as me trying to scape goat certain teams into not playing certain players because this is not what my intentions are! But from a parent's point of view, how would you feel if your children played B team all year and got serious minutes but in the County Tournament they was replaced by players who are in the same grade but did not play on the B team throughout the season, because they was being saved for the A team game? I know from a coaches point of view, its a County Tournament so all bets are off as long as you can win within the rule book. From a parent's point of view though, this is not going to be the case.

My worry is throwing this together this quickly like we have is going to cause some issues with some parents. However, I have realized in two short years of coaching that you will have problems with parents no matter what. Luckily Mullins will not be in this situation this year but we will still play any team that steps on the court with us to the best of our ability.

This is just some concerns that need to be address next year before these tournaments are held!
