KNOX has nothing but respect for JC--we played your Middle school for the Regional Championship and we won that game--we played your High school last year and went in to double over time we lost that game by 1pt--the respect is there for both JC and KNOX I'm sure ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

To get their team well tested to make them better for a run into the playoffs? Obviously, the only gain from this was not to the JC team but to Judes record. And the crap about no one else decent would play is is total crap, there are lots of teams whether from KY or a surrounding state that were closer and would have been better and would have actually helped JC improve but they wouldnt work becasue they might hurt the stats for Jude's record. Its crap like this that makes me pull for Wales. They went out and actually played somebody better than them and in the end it will help their team
To add to my previous post you've got alot of nerve to come on here and talk about Johnson Central's scheduling or your just plain stupid. I just finished a little research and found that over a three year period Mayfields regular season instate opponents has a combined record of 150 wins and 185 losses while Johnson Central's was 216 wins and 133 losses.

For what it is worth, younger kids playing or not, this game was far closer then I ever dreamed it would be. I figured JC would hang 60+ on Heath even if the younger kids played an entire half. By the way, Jude is one heck of a running back but it is a shame to see yards come against teams like Heath.

I do believe I predicted this one perfect!!
Congrats to JJ Jude and Johnson Central!

after awhile jc fans need to ask themselves why their program is villified. The past speaks for itself and it wouldn't matter if Jude ran the ball twice, it still doesn't change the philosophy of the head coach in many folks eyes.

Coach Booth, you might want to rephrase your statement about "biggest jerk" on the site. I think we have a tie.
I know many HHS fans wish that "wacky n' tacky" would just go away somewhere and shut up.

Whackem stirs it up with his opinion and that upsets those who may not like it, but he's hardly the pariah that you hope for him to be in his own fanbase!

Kind of the opposite of what some have told me.

No, you did not ask to be put in 4A, you asked to be put in 5A to get away from Highlands.

As much as you and others would like to think it does, the opinion of people who know little to nothing about Johnson Central football does not actually cause anyone in Johnson County to lose any sleep at all. I know that's not going to stop you and your cronies from continuing to offer it without solicitation all season long anyhow, but it's true nevertheless. You're just not a successful program until people hate you for it.
In the interest of accuracy, the final score was 48-7. Heath got a late feel-good TD against the JV defense. Matney won't ever shut a team out. But since you haters know him so well (even though you couldn't pick him out of a police lineup), I'm sure you'll find an ulterior motive somehow there also.

I don't understand why JC is getting all the hostility. Jude is just an all out animal. I lost count of how many yards he had against Cov Cath and Highlands last year. Cov Cath was somewhat decent. If Paul Ritter doesn't get tossed, they play a much closer game, if not beating JC. Highlands beat JC then won state. Jude still ran all over both of these teams. He could put up numbers against anyone. Every school is gonna have a patty-cake game that they will play in the regular season (other than Trinity who still made their game a patty-cake game
hh
. Jude will have his games where he plays great teams and still runs all over them. That's just who he is. So please stop bashing schools because it's then going to turn into bashing players.

I do not see all the "hatin" go on that a lot of fans from JC want to believe. People can make a negative comment about a team without hating the team, fans, city, ect.

:thatsfunn I think you are the biggest instigator on this site, always blowing smoke. Whacko is always going to find some kind of fault with JC no matter what Coach Matney does with his team. I hope the Eagles go very far this year and I hope Coach Matney gives whacko something to really talk about!! GO EAGLES!!!

I remember him have a good game against HHS, but far from running all over them because of the way they key on people.hh

And then you have those nut jobs that get off on criticizing a player or coach that he does not know or has ever even seen play.
I still remember last year when the wacky and tacky one made the idiotic statement about Jude needing to not worry about continuing his career with football (kid cant hack it) but should seek wrestling as the sport of choice. Then the facts came out that he had never ever at any time (despite being this self appointed Highlands SUPER FAN) seen Jude either play in a football game or see him on a wrestling mat. Then Jude comes out first team all state in every all state poll that gets published. However it is also notable that he did win a state championship in wrestling as well. That's right, Highlands has played JC three out of the last four seasons in the playoffs, but yet ol' SUPERFAN has never even seen him play, but he is the self proclaimed expert on everything involving JJ Jude, Jim Matney, and Johnson Central. To even further the story, we find out ol' SUPERFAN didn't even attend school at Highlands, but rather went to another NKy school and never played football himself. Tells a lot, doesn't it?

Although it would be nice to get away from Highlands, this is agame that most Central fans look forward to all year, win or lose. To be the best you have to beat the best and like it or not Highlands is one of the best!!

I think all the mountain teams have respect for one another on some level whether they admit it or not. That was a great game last year and could have gone either way. Knox has great program for sure.

congrats to JJ, but Mayfield schedule doesnt matter either, they have a ring, and i would say they would come to paintsville to play in a bowl game, single A or not last year, they was one of the better teams in state...
