How do you think Shelby Valley will do this year?

Excuse me but where do you get that I was somehow slamming Phelps with my statement? Ive always respected Phelps for doing alot with only a little. Are you implying that Pikeville kids dont have heart or determination because they allegedly "recruit"you can say what you want but nobody works harder than our kids do(If you dont believe me come watch practice sometime). Back in the 80s it was possible to be competitive with such small numbers in single A but not now considering that NCC dressed 90 kids last year. And the main reason why you guys played so good that year was because you had a great coach who I had the honor to play for when he was at Pikeville.

Didn't say you were "slamming" Phelps.. I just used their situtation as an example. NOR did I imply that Pikeville kids didn't work hard. I am sure that they do. My point was that small in number doesn't mean that they aren't HUGE in heart!!! As for the coach... he is an exceptional person as well as coach!!! Sorry if you took my post out of text... I guess next time I will have to watch my wording....

Well... the Joplin situtation is a LONG one!! He is back at Pikeville College now. I wish like the devil he would have stayed!! He is AWESOME!!!
I have a copy of the schedule but haven't gotten to talk to Haggerman.... saw him at practice today but he was on the field and I was on the bleachers!! LOL... I am assuming that they are scrimmaging next week sometime but not really sure who! I have heard Hurley VA but not for sure about that!!

Has anyone else noticed that the rest of Pike Co. is starting to hate Pikeville again?? Do you know what that means?? The Panthers are starting to win again!!! and didn't they win the district in hoops this year too????

Anyway, back to the topic!! I hope SV has a good football season. I think they could have a good program up there if they can get the good athletes out. I hope the new coach can get it done. I wish them the best. Unlike other people in Pike Co., I root for all the area teams!!

i think they will go 3-7, because of the constant coaching changes every time they get used to a coaches system they have to turn around and change it again this can bevery hard on a high school athlete.
