Yes, you are correct. I just think that having a bunch of older 18 / 19yr. olds playing against mostly 15-17yr. olds is not a good comparison of talent. Also if you are constantly encouraging SEVERAL kids to do this for the sake of winning football games is absurd. Parents are often convinced by their coach such as this one, to hold their kid back for other reasons. Only to find out it was only for his own selfish reasons.

As far as Matney, we just love having him at Central, and by the way I'm sure he could care less about your opinion.And as for me, you need to get a life and quit acting like a 12 year old that lost his passifier.:flush:

If we have kids who were held back for athletic reasons...I'm pretty sure we aren't the ones who invented that concept. In fact, I seem to remember kids my age doing it for basketball reasons before anyone in EKY knew what a football was. In fact, I think one or two of em may have won a state basketball championship around 1996.

You know your program is gettng a great deal of attention on here when you have the nutjobs and clowns from other schools trolling and posting here. We are not amused or afraid so just move on to another school you are afraid of.

JC fans do not talk trash or troll other sites. We play one game at a time and let our kids do the talking on the field and they have talked very well for us this year!

Looking at RC's schedule and scores, it looks like Coach Singleton has done an excellent job bringing his team along each week.

I think that JC will pull away from Rowan County because of the Golden Eagles' superior depth but any defense that holds Quentin Baker to 42 yards rushing has to be taken seriously. Rowan County forced Ashland to pass the ball to get Baker in position to do some damage but JC just has too many offensive options for the Vikings to shut down their ground game.

The next week after Ashland they gave up 207 yards to Bryd from Greenup Co.

Do you see Highlands playing kids both ways? No. They platoon.

The fewer kids you have playing both ways, the more depth you have. The more depth you have, the more you can wear people down. Simple football here.

I coached a team that beat his by 14 or so points, and he wouldn't even shake our hands at the end of the game. Acted like a spoiled little brat crying about running the score up. Now look at him. Hold backs galore. Running scores up. Acting like a baby in meetings when he doesn't get his way. AND YES I HAVE TOLD HIM TO HIS FACE!! And NO I'm not talking about the school or the kids. The kids are great kids and so is the school system. JC has nice facilities with an amazingly supportive atmosphere. However he is a JERK and my opinion of him has not changed over the years.
