McCreary Central 2014
#31
I like the Staff at McCreary Central. They have the best interest of the kids at heart. They work hard,. The Wt. Room is open and most of the staff is on hand to work with the kids. I feel the numbers will be up some, and they will be better this year.

Take some of these "great" coaches around the state, put them at MC and let them implement there full ideas and fund them as well and see how many wins they get. If somebody turns that program into a winner quickly, he wont be there long unless Mccreary pulls out something ridiculous to keep him.
Personally, I think MC would be best fit to take a young coach, somebody like a Haddix and give them complete control. That's the only way to get the ball rolling. Ive seen some good coaches go over there and not be able to do anything at all.

Agree. Coach with vision and determination. Just to give you some perspective. In 1995, Pulaski County was the worst football program in the state. Hadn't won a single game in over two years. In 1999, McCreary beat Pulaski County, at PC, 38-35. (Hines 1st season). Both programs were at the same level 15 years ago. It takes a lot of determination, hard work, and never-say-die attitude. If the climb can be made at Pulaski County, it can happen anywhere.

Huge Difference PC has an administration the Supports Football and makes sure facility and equipment is up to par.:HitWall::HitWall::HitWall::HitWall:

Lot more money at Pulaski than McCreary County. I understand your point but it is a lot easier at Pulaski. McCreary has a tiny tax base. McCreary is having a huge revenue problem with some of the federal and state cutbacks. They are more comparable to Breathitt County who has had great success in football.

I agree, but Mike had a blank check at Breathitt and the Super Supported Football in a Huge Way!!!!!!:rockon:

I'm comparing McCreary and Breathitt Counties economically. Pulaski has a two fold base over McCreary and Breathitt combined.I was just saying Breathitt is a better comparison to McCreary. It can be done.

Money isn't what won a bunch of games. Interesting twist. The AD at McCreary once told me they had a chance to hire Hines there and passed.

In 1999 John Hine's first year at PC. Rob Jones was not AD at McCreary Central. I doubt that Coach Hines ever applied for a job in McCreary County. I also doubt he could have done any better than some that has Coached at McCreary.

1999 Hines 1st year. Sorry. Coach Hines is a good coach but if you are not from McCreary it's hard to grasp the conditions.

Watched McCreary Central max out on Deadlift yesterday and I can tell you right now they will be a lot stronger than the past few seasons. Coach Galloway is Great in Wt. room. Central had 2 Freshman Linemen Dead Lift 425, pretty good for Freshmen.
Go Raiders!!!!! Oh Yea the Whole Staff was in Wt. room working along with the Middle School Coaches.

Good to hear McCreary County has a bunch of kids working hard in the weight room. This has to be better than the uncertainity of last season with the late hire.

E's I agree it is good to see McCreary Central Working hard. It's good to see a staff that is there for the kids and willing to put in the time necessary to be successful.:Clap:

Just talked with Coach Hines. Coach Hines did apply for the McCreary Central Job. He wanted out of Barren Co and closer to home. Very bad decision by not hiring a class act, and a great football coach at McCreary. McCreary Central has never had a football coach at the LEVEL Coach Hines a proven leader, and a proven winner.

I always hear about great numbers on here, then the season starts, you all might have 20. That is where a great leader like Coach Hines, would have turned things around.

Don't know who you are, but you sure like to put McCreary Central down. I just want the Team and the Kids to have better and do better on the field. Still haven't figured out your agenda.:insane::insane:

You are a hypocrite you destroyed this program publicly on bluegrass preps for three years under Derrick Smith because he is friends with the AD who you do not like. Now that your friend is part of this 0-10 team that did not even have enough numbers to have spring practice this year they are great.

This staff is terrible for kids two of them think they are drill instructors for the marine corps. It is a high school football team not a navy seal unit. Stop your b.s. ing.

No agenda here! I am just telling the truth.

If your kids work hard and perform on the field, things will get better. A million dollars don't get the Raiders anymore wins. Coach Hines worked his butt off, to get PC to the top.

So what you are saying, No one that has Coached at McCreary Central has worked their butt off.

It perturbs me that you would insinuate our Kids and Coaches at McCreary Central don't work hard. I Coached at McCreary 2 different time. Last year I coached we were 7-4 and had 52 players dressed out. Coach Bozeman, Coach Hatcher and Coach Messer worked as hard as any Coach in the State and you want to blame the success or lack of success of this program on Players and Coaches not working hard. Dang!!!

I also would like to add the present staff and kids work hard. Wt. Room is open and they are there working their butts off. Go Raiders:Clap::Clap::Clap:

I really don't care, if you are perturbed . Truth is the Truth! You stated you coached twice at McCreary. If you had stayed and worked your butt off like coach Hines McCreary might be on top. (BUT YOU BAILED) Then you came back, I looked on KHSAA scoreboard found the 7-4 team. You coached the WATTS kid and then (bailed out again) when WATTS left. ( if you did coach the 7-4 team) You didn't stay again and work your butt off like Coach HINES. Truth is the Truth I didn't find 52 players either! I don't know you , but one thing I learned real quick, YOU stretch the truth!

Coach Hatcher knows his stuff, I don't know anything about the other two.

Didn't say anything bad about the kids. Only you bailed out on them twice without staying and working your butt off and the kids see that and they worked their butts off.

Sometimes the truth does hurt.

Come up this fall and watch Coach Hines in action, Pre Season number 1 or 2. We can sit together. :lmao:

I didn't stretch the truth, 45 listed on Roster at KHSAA web sight. Picked up a few when school started. Last year Boss you were a Whitley County Fan and now all of a sudden you are a Pulaski Co. fan. I think you are from McCreary County pretending to be from somewhere else. Just stirring the pot. JMO

Boss Eric you blasted McCreary Central all Season last Season. You pretended to be a Whitley County Fan. You are a fake, you are from McCreary County. Here are a few of your post from last season. 10-26-13 Great Win go Whitley. 10-18-13 Maybe some will come to Whitley, If you can't beat us.....join us. 10-16-13 Wayne Co. 52 McCreary Co. 0 10-11-13 Corbin 60 McCreary 0 if I had paid to get in I would want my money back. 10-08-13 McCreary has no chance I'll be at game. 42-0 10-08-13 Whitley with another win 40-6 over McCreary. 9-29-13 Casey Co. 61 MC 6 Maybe McCreary could come to Whitley this week and we could get a win. 9-28-13 HOW CAN CASEY SCORE 37pts ALL YEAR AND HANG 61 ON THE RAIDERS. 9-20-13 if the Eagles let MC score, they will be the talk on Kentucky Sports Radio. I sure Matt Jones don't want to come to Stearns. As all can see you were very bias towards The Raiders Last year. As I stated before you are from McCreary County, most likely someone who has been an Asst. Coach here and left with a bad taste in your mouth. Well spit it out or it will get worse.

I don't lived in McCreary, but your right I did lived in Whitley Co. for a while. Now I am back home in Pulaski Co. I know more about football and what is on in surrounding CO. than most. Come on up I'll pay your way and even sit with you.

You did elaborate on why you bailed on the raiders twice?

I don't feel that I have to tell you or give you any reason why I left Coaching in McCreary County but in short. 1st time Administration and I did not see eye to eye on the direction of program. 2nd time I had been Teaching 32+ years and it was time to go. :HitWall: However I will attend a PC game with you this year. Coach Hines and I know each other well. I feel they will have a great season. Hope they win it all.:Cheerlead:Cheerlead:Cheerlead
