Montgomery County 26 North Laurel 14

How did that make things uneven...I think I see what you are trying to say, but Southern beat Montgomery fairly easily...I do wish last year's district would have stayed.

I know Southern wouldn't have won the district, but having Pulaski, SW Pulaski, Madison Southern, North Laurel, was a loaded district and this year very well could have been a district sweep. But as I always say...If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.

I was talking numbers only, when Madison Southern went down a class it left fewer teams in the district it left. That was all I meant by that.

I agree 100%! You so nailed your remark about the talent. A lot of people don't realize just how good North could be.

as long as coach larkey is there north will not throw the ball

Qb is young and led his team to a 9-0 start. Doubt any coach would want to throw a 10 grader into such pressure situations, this season has made him the better for not having to physically lead them rather the pressure has been on online and Nelson. Seniors paving the way and Cole will not doubt have his chance and many opportunities to pass but from what I've seen NL hasn't ever had more than 1-2 quality receivers to throw to and if you don't have more then teams can easily target them. Plus the reason NL defense is so well and any Larkey coached team is because of the style of offense they both teach. Control he ball and you have chance to win any game. NL can't win any argument his year on Internet it seems. They suck because they play no one, then they are awesome again and should be better when they lose, out of the ashes they should suddenly be world beaters when history has told us they've never been relevant.

Great observation and pretty much dead on my thoughts as well, as the regular season ends. I personally thought Mcwhorter, did great this season, young guy came out and gave 100% every game. He threw enough to keep those 'spiral fans' entertained in my opinion, three TD passes in one game, sure isn't shabby. Senior based team, they had their time to shine and shine they did. North, has some of the best Seniors in the tri-county area, they have played with a lot of heart this season, Larkey has to be pleased with their effort. 9-1 on the season, hey that is nothing to be unhappy about, fans should be celebrating it, and I know many are.

A lot of fans just want to talk smack and what could have been, just because they lost one game. On the other hand, it's easy to say "well, when Montgomery beat them, should have changed this or done that" but I say, it is the law of averages, man, it's going to catch up with you eventually. You go so many games, owning a team and eventually you have to lose a game.

As a fan, I look forward to the playoff games. I think North will suck that loss up and come storming back and end the season with a bang. Which ever way it goes, a lot of their fans are proud of this team and what they have accomplished this season. They have been fun to watch! And, it still remains and always will: :haters::haters::haters::haters::haters:

North will win 1 playoff game that's the end of the line Jags!

Congrats to Montgomery for their win at the Jungle! Good luck to the Indians in the playoffs! It would be fine with me to see the JAGS & Indians hook up again in the Semis!! 10-0 would've been grand, but not in the cards this year. 9-1 is great and not to mention District Champions plus several North Laurel season records broke!! I'm proud to be a Jaguar parent and fan!!

Now it's that special time of the year called "Playoffs!!" Strange things seem to happen from time to time during the Playoffs?? The Montgomery Co Indians may have done the JAGS a BIG favor. This may be the extra motivation this team needed?? You know they say Bowling Green is nice this time of year and anything is possible boys!! It's all good!!! God Bless & Go JAGS!!!!

I agree with controlling the ball and u got a shot to win but not against a good run defense and ur better teams. Montgomery is ok but they ain't a great team by no means. Somebody said north qb had three Tds in one game. He has 5 for the year North has had a great year. Idk about anybody else but all I am trying to say is for north to make huge run n playoff they have to throw more. Imo. Season wins are great but great teams prepare all year for what it's gonna take to win playoff games. Maybe they are prepared. Idk. Hope they are

Everyone wants to get bent when you mention a passing game and a Larkey in the same breath. You are right to win in these big playoff games you are going to have to pass in order to win. Running it up the middle only works until they figure out what you are doing and by now everyone knows. I love North, but they are going to have to pass to win playoff games and they could do it if they had practiced it any this season. That's just a fact Jack.:truestory:

You have to practice your OFFFENSIVE LINEMEN different for a passing game. They are REALLY important to the entire team in that they are the ones that buy the QB time to be able to get off good passes. I don't know how much time they have applied to that type of game plan. On plays where the offense is passing the ball, the offensive linemen's job is:
form an area for the quarterback to throw from (they have to set the pocket)!
Keep the defender from reaching the quarterback (pass protect)
The center (CN) has the additional important responsibility of handing the ball to the quarterback to start every play (making the snap) and helping to defend too. Without them performing well in a game situation, the rest of the offense cannot function properly. They are the ones who must win the individual battles on each offensive play and I don't know if they have practiced that type of protection for a passing game or not? They have probably practiced it a little but it would take a major effort unless they have been doing it all along and just not applied it?! IDK??

I do agree that come playoff time you have to change what you have been doing all season up some because other teams have scouted you enough and watched you enough by then to know what you are going to do if you don't do something different.

So during the most important time of the year, you completely what you've been doing to make you successful? Someone let Haywood know at Belfry that they better go away from the belly stuff.

Concerning that Montgomery Beat North laurel and Southwestern beat Montgomery pretty easy, I would be a little worried if I where a North fan.

That is not what I meant at all. I meant in order to have a successful passing team you have to practice your offensive linemen different, than for a 'run it up the gut team'.

North Laurel has broke all kinds of school records this season and did something that school has never done before in football they are 9-1, like I said before on here anything else is just whipped cream with a cherry on top for them. They have been building some tradition out there and doing pretty well at it. Jag fans are not worried they are just happy this season, celebrating their teams success.
