Thanks though, I do need a good dream psychologist. Have a good day.
I agree he is one of the best in the region, but to say he is way above the rest is rediculous.... I dont even think he is the best player on his team...

Van could be one if he was more consistant in his play.
Landon has to be considered as one of the top players.
Vanhoose, he just needs to pick up his inside game some.
Allen Central:
Josh Martin should be considered but I have only seen him play one game.
P-burg:
That Hall boy that shoots the 3's would be considered if he was more careful on his shot selection and got a streak going in games instead of shots
Johnson Central:
Jamie McCarty, enough said.
Phelps:
I like Gannon and Hunt pretty good for their size.
Pikeville:
Harmon, the kid plays with more heart than anyone I have seen play this year.
Adams, I am sure I am going to be questioned about this one. But his presence under the goal changes a lot of teams game plan.
South Floyd:
Eathan Johnson isn't living up to what I expected, but I heard he has a bad wheel so I will give him the benefit of doubt.
Lyle Johnson can shoot the ball, that is enough for some people. I think he needs to work on defense more.
Belfry:
Brandon Case is the only player on Belfry's squad that could even be considered.
I know I left some out, but I will put them on at a later date.
Its Jamie Case...

Then who's the best on the team?

BLUEGRASS-RULES Wrote:My my super_de. You have no clue do you. Landon Slone Has 24 to 30 points a game. 7 to 12 rebounds a game numerous floor burns (most people on here will know what i am talking about when i say floor burns probably not you tho), he will have 4 to 6 assist, 1 or 2 blocks a game, and when a team has a standout player he plays defense on that player. He plays 32 minutes a game and never sits. So thats why he is the best player in the region.
yeah i do know wut a floor burn is, i didnt say he was a bad player i just said he was a tad bit overrated. Everytime ive watched him play he has done nothing that has impressed me, it might be different with other teams, but honeslty he has did nothing to impress me since i have watched him, theres ton of players in the 15th region like that out there. So i mean, i asked how does he stand out so far from all the other players in the region? You all put it out to think he is gonna play D1 somewhere.

Hmmm....wonder where you are from?
Here is my top 5 in no particular order.
1. Bryant (SV)- showed he can play with the big boys. He had 26 points 9 boards and 5 assist with a hurt ankle against Warren Central (the #5 team in the state).
2. Slone (Painstville)- no matter what anyone says about him, he is a good player and has been since his freshman year.
3. McCary (JC) - is a tremendous scorer. Without him JC doesn't have a chance.
4. Case (Belfry)- A great shooter and scorer. Belfry would be nothing without him also.
5. Justice (SV)- only for the simple fact that SV cannot survive without him. He means more to them than anyone they have. He can simply dominate a game and only score 4 or 5 points. Best defender in the region IMO.
Some worth mentioning
Vanhoose, Hatfield, Clevinger, Harmon, Grimm, Hunt, Gannon, Hess, Martin,Taylor Newsome,Ferguson, Ethan Johnson

We don't put it out there that he will play D1 somewhere -- the D1 coaches put it out there. I will guarantee you that he will play D1.

If Landon Slone goes D1 I believe I might have to bring out my balls shoes and head on over to a D1 school and try out. Landon Slone is a good player yes, but saying he will go D1 is just plain crazy. If he goes to Pikeville and plays ill be surprised.

Many. I don't want to compromise the recruiting process so I will not name them. One, however, has been said already on here -- Florida.
I am not saying that these schools have offered, but I am saying they are scouting, etc. I will say that he will have a choice to make, from what I have seen, deciding where he would like to go.

Go ahead and start polishing those shoes up! Again, I'll be glad to hold this post for later review when he signs. Have a good day.

Coach Wells is wanting him real bad, Pikeville would be a good place for him to go to be honest. Landon would get a quality education, and a whole lot of playing time there, But to say he could'nt play there MY I QUOTE JUST PLAIN CRAZY. Maby not a major D1 school but several D1 schools he can play and get quality playing time. YOU must be one of the so many that is so enviess and maybe a little jealous that u want to re-live the past just wisheing that u were good enough to carry his gym bag. :ChairHit:

I agree with you on this. I will say that I know the schools that have shown interest but like The Governor I will not mention them at this time. But let's just say there are many DI schools that are interested!!!

Having played on the DI level, and knowing what it takes to play there, I can assure you Landon can play on that level!! Don't be too surprised!!

From watchin' many of the teams play this season...One has to mention Slone, Jacob Bryant (SV), McCarty, Case, and one could throw many other names in the hat..
But to this point my vote would have to go to Slone. Playing on the top rated team in the region. Had a consistent showing in last week's All A while scoring over 70 pts. throughout the tournament and lead the team in rebounds (13) in the championship game.
Not a "flashy" type of player but, yet I have not seen any better in all-around stats for the season. Agree with earlier posts, doesn't turn the ball over much, plays unselfish and goes to the line over 7 times per game.

kyr450, it's understandable your basketball IQ is a little low. Sorry but we have to disagree on this one. I think Landon is by far the best player in Region 15. He can score at will. He can rebound. He can handle the ball. He can take the opponent's best player out of the game. He is unselfish. He could score 30 a night if he wanted but he understands that he has to get his teammates involved so they win. Plus McCarty and Case both shoot their hands off. I personally think Landon will play D1 ball. I'm not from Paintsville either so that's an honest outside opinion.

So if I am reading this correctly, you are telling me that Landon Slone has even been looked at Florida, who did win the national championship...If thats the case then why isnt he averaging 30+pts per game in the weakest region in the state?

Why isn't he averaging 30+ pts per game? Have you even watched Paintsville play this year? Maybe a game or two I suppose? Landon Slone could average 30 easy if he wanted to but he is an unselfish player and gets his teammates involved. Very unheard of these days in high school b-ball. The star usually wants all the glory but Landon puts the team ahead of his own personal stats.

Yes I have watched Paintsville play. And i was just saying that because they were saying he is being looked at by Florida. Don't get me wrong I think Landon is a really good player, I just dont see him doing anything after he leave Paintsville.

Slone will do something after high school, and that's play at a very small Division 1 School at the most. I don't know why someone would say Florida is looking at him though. He's not even regarded as one of the top juniors in the state. Why would a top team in the country look at him? I mean no offense to the kid but some of you people need to get the heck out of Paintsville for a day or two and get some fresh air saying things like that.
