Many people get out of high school and have friends come out to them. Some you would never think they would turn out to be homosexual, but turns out they were all along. Anywhere you go, you are going to have people who have many negative opinions on being gay. Here in the mountains, you have many "oldtimers". I guess you would call them homophobic. A lot of their parents raised them to put down homosexuals.
Also something that angers me is the fact when a person finds out one of their friends are gay, it's like they no longer know them. The thing is, they're still the same person. It doesn't have to change their personality just because they like people of the same sex. A gay guy isn't going to hit on every guy he sees. So people that are like "im afraid theyre gonna try something on me". That's nonsense and just plain ignorance.

I agree it is nonsense. I hate people who do that to people they supposedly called 'their friends'. The way I see it, if you're frineds with someone then you should be there for them no matter what even if they do come out to you. Personally, I haev had friends come out to me and it has made me the happiest person in the world because I know they trust me and feel comfortable enough with me to share that when they keep it hidden from everyone else. I am NOT going to turn my back on any of my friends no matter what it is. Alot of people hide it throughout their lives, espicially in high school all because they are afraid of being discriminated against. The scariest thing in the world is wanting to tell someone who is your best friend something but being too afraid to because you're scared they will treat you different or not talk to you anymore.

I think it's all bull if you want to know the truth. I don't think discrimination against ANYONE is right nor is it just and even though I have never read the Bible I can pretty much guess that it doesn't say that discrimination against anyone is right. I know I am going to step on alot of toes with this and I don't mean to but the way I see it I don't think people should hide behind the Bible or what it supposedly says on topics like this nad it seems to me that alot of people in the world do.

Yep. I sure do understand that. I can love one of my family members who is a drug addict and thief. I don't have to like the way they live, but I still love them. Just what it means DT.Anything the majority would consider good and then all of a sudden a good thing someone has done would be considered meaninless and someone does something the majority would consider bad but would be viewed as well,,,people have done that same thing since the beginning of time so its no big deal.Its a really difficult subject.If you support gays and their lifestyle some people will accuse you of being gay and if you see it as a lifestyle that is immoral and just plain not normal you will be called a bigot.I know we are commanded to love all these people who are gay but just flat against the lifestyle.As I said before the human race would cease to exist if we adopted this lifestyle.Im not talking about being two faced as you suggested either.I would love to be nice and not feel anything negative towards them.I can only pray and try to be as good to them as I can.

Just because a women is gay doesn't mean she is not going to have a child. The gay men could donate sperm to the sperm banks and the women would go and purchase it and 9 months later have a kid of their own.

Your right about that,,but that would be the only way.I was referring mostly to the men folk not having sex with women or donating sperm.Thanks DT for being civil and not calling me a bigot.I want to love everyone but have things in my mind and heart that pull me the other way.

Go take a look at this site and let me know what everyone thinks. Some things mentioned of being wrong according to the bible are eating pork, growing a beard, wearing red and many other things. Some of the things you mentioned I have heard before...I can't think of what religion it is where it's followers aren't allowed to eat pork. I actually know some poeple who have done this. Most of them, when they go to college, its a whole new world for them. They come out, and are comfortable with it around people. They keep it as a secret in high school for many reasons friends, parents, etc

DT you got the same views as me. And as for people being "healed". Maybe they just claimed to be gay in the first place for different reasons. Trying to fit it with certain people. Believe it or not there are some who do that.

I think thetribe was meaning that alot of people won't even look a gay person's way. And that it's pathetic for someone not to like a guy or girl just because of the fact that they are gay. Everyone has their opinions and are entitled to them.
