I am in charge of concessions for playoffs. Just trying to get a feel for interest. I am fairly new to the area I heard years ago Harlan County brought multiple bus loads to Berea for a playoff game ? I know that school is fairly knew so I am not sure when they were talking about .......

I think both of Harlan County's two previous games against Madison Southern were at Harlan County.
They will bring a good crowd though. It's a shorter trip to Berea than Somerset.

In the current playoff format I would love to know if there has ever been a team that has won 4 straight games on the road to get to a state championship game? If it has been done I âll bet a couple dollars it hasnât been done more than a time or two? Maybe this HC team has a chance to make history and be the first school to pull off an amazing road run??

My guess is no team ever played four straight road playoff games in the county. Lynch usually had to play three to win a state championship and the last one was always at a neutral site. Cawood won one game to win the region in 75, then went to Highlands. I think Evarts had two home playoff games in 90 before going to Pikeville in the regional finals and then was home for the state semifinals. Those Cumberland teams won three games to get to the finals, I believe.

Sorry but they had tape of the hit. He hit him with his fist. That was about '95. It was when they were shaking hands. He knocked the kids teeth out. It wasn't with a helmet though

possibly before 95 and I think you are wrong about him knocking his teeth out with his fist. it almost caused a brawl. it was when they were shaking hands with helmets off after Madison Southern had won the game.

Flying High, you are exactly right.

Yes if everything you are saying is true, except he hit him with his fist. I am 100% sure of that,

Harlan County is a crepuscular team. Madison Southern had better be ready from the kickoff or they could be digging out of a hole all night long.

I would like to thank the LA teacher that left "Auntie Barbara's Feral Cat" on the copy machine. Without it I would have never even known crepuscular was a real word.

I know thw guy that threw the punch and talked to him about it a few years ago.I know others that watched it happen. They can put anything in a paper doesn't change the facts of what happened.
