That's three times you mentioned his name in this thread alone. I think we all get your point that he is your best back at SC.

And, (sprint right or left). You have just now learned the Russell offense, so if Im mistaken the QBmakes up 33% of our run play options, excluding the reverse, so he's pretty much a back. Also we wont ever pass even if we do get to a team like belfry who will put 11 guys in the box, and ull see 26,26,26,23,26,26,26,23, reverse,26,26
We won't ever pass ok. What ever. Let Belfry put 11 man in the box and see what happens.
How do you think we beat them last year?

As far as best running back at Russell. Abrams is probably the best runner. Bailey can be the most versatile running or recieving. Bates gives you another threat up the middle. Jones is probably the most talented but is not going to run as much at QB with a bum ankle. All are very good players.

Jason Powers is the best back at Whitley County. Jason is big, powerful and runs north/south.

Not that this is OT or anything

We DIDN'T put 11 in the box, y'all did, which is why we were shut out. 11 in the box and a good stunt + blitz = sacked QB on passes and shut down run game. That's pretty much what happened. And for some strange reason, Mickey had no answer for the WingT, the silliest offense in the game. You all know how to run it though (and darned well too), I'll give you Russell people THAT much

Thanks SARRR,, but I worry about even making that far this year with a young team. FBALL is right we have to make it there first.. East is our first priority. Hopefully then one at a time. IF at Belfry....we better step it up or I see 2004 season ender coming.

Matt Thomas is a great back has been since he played his freshman year.. You knew he was going to be something to watch... I wish him the best and hope that he makes a college happy with his selection.

Not quite 11 in the box, but 9 in the box, noone deeper than 5-6yds, and your corners 2 steps outside the end, with backs facing the sideline.

I completly agree I've played with him my junior and senior year and he is a great rb, and a great young man, sometime I wish he would've been lucky enough to have more talent surrounding him or atleast in front of him his senior season, but it may have made him more of a standout to college scouts, that is if he even persues a place in college football I feel that basketball is his domain and that is what he will persue, only time will tell.

I do not know him personally but he is great to watch on the field. I can only hope that what ever sport he continues with that it will give him a FREE education in college.

Does this kid actually play all those positions??

yes he has and did this season. He ran and threw for 5 td's in a single game this season.

Wow, you know the offense. That usually means you are a bitter "ex" player. No offense, maybe you're not.
Anyway, Russell's thrown the ball 79 times from their top 2 QB's, not alot, but it is 7.9 times per game. They've also passed for 853 yards, which is 23% of their offense, you can't say they won't ever pass.
Oh yeah, however you criticize the offense they run, it seems to have worked pretty well for them.

So, with 10 TD's in ONE game.... what in the heck was the final score of this game??

MR.PERFECT Wrote:yes he has and did this season. He ran and threw for 5 td's in a single game this season. Are you saying he ran and threw for 5 total td's together or 5 apiece? Because 50 points is the most that Powell County scored in their highest point game. Just trying to get this straight. I'm sure the kid is a great athlete and is well deserving of the praises, but 10 td's don't add up. Please don't take this as a cut on your post, it is not intended to come out like that.

I read it as combined and I'm pretty sure that is what he meant. I think Daniel Pugh was the last guy to account for 10 total TD's for his team.

He ran and threw for 5 against Morgan. He didn't run for 5 and throw for 5
