THey shouldnt be in it is what i am saying. You was saying that Hazard and PCC always get the spin out even in defeat. If that was the case dont you think hazard would still be in the top 10.

Not really. I was referring to the PBurg fan feeling that their team did not get the highlights like PCC did from last nights game. But, in all reality, if there was the slightest chance that the WYMT staff could argue for Hazard (which they cant in this case), then yes they would be there. In a close situation, they would get the nod being in the backyard of the station and all. I agree with you, they do not deserve top 10 status.

its wasn't a couple of bad games... i thought the valley ~ p-burg game was an extremely hard hitting game and i heard this game was also hard hitting
Maybe just tired and not focused enough as they should be
But playoff time is now

better clean up their act

If you get WPRG channel 5, then you can probably catch it replayed this week. They covered this game this week along with the belfry JC game.

For the arm chair quarterbacks that claim to be fans of Prestonsburg, I'm sure these fine young men would like to thank you for your support. This Prestonsburg team has faced many obsticles this season. not only with injuries but many have had personal & family issues to overcome each week. Each week that teenagers try to go out on that field to win games. Give them as well as these other teams of TEENAGERS some credit.
Good luck to the Blackcats during play off. I believe you will overcome and rise above the negative critism and go all the way!!!!
Good Luck to All Teams!!
GO BLACKCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What did they do when they was over there. If they didn;t do nothing. What kind of Highlights would that be. Bad ones. People think before you say something crazy.

I think the point here is that PCC lost the game, and if you watched Overtime, you would think that PCC was an SEC contender.

Jordan Amis DID do an awfully good Doug Flutie/Fran Tarkenton imitation with his legs. He was the single most effective offensive force in this game. There was nothing wrong with emphasizing it on the highlights. After all, there were precious few highlight plays for P-burg in the 1st half.
I wouldn't be too critical of WYMT's coverage. With the nasty rainstorm and their film deadlines, they are sometimes forced to miss a game's key plays.

Your passive-aggressive tone here is completely unwarranted. I'm a solid P-burg fan (and always have been), but I also know the game. And as such, will never be a brainless Blackcat cheerleader. Any "criticisms" I've posted are ON field observations. It's never been personal thing, nor will it ever be.
For ANY team, there's usually something to criticize in a win, just as there are things to praise in a loss. Once again and speaking for myself, it will relate to what's happening on the field ONLY.
I will express one point of praise I was reserving for season's end. I'm very proud of the way this team has handled itself. This has been a very even-keeled, mature group of young men. The Blackcats have played hard, yet have kept emotions in check (which has allowed the last two come-from-behind wins) and have been gracious after each and every game.
With that said, I've not sees posts from you in previous weeks enumerating the "personal & family issues" some of the players are going through. Your use of sarcasm now in attacking other Prestonsburg football fans for what they observe in their team's play is completely unfair.

Your analysis and critizisms of the games are fair and constuctive, oneijoe. I am referring to those who think that if the Cats don't win by 3 or 4 touchdowns that the are out of contention past the first round of playoffs. This is an amazing group of young men who do understand the task at hand. If being a cheerleader by saying that I believe they can overcome and work through their weaknesses and get better then I am a cheerleader. Whether by a point or 4TDs a win is a win . I just hate to see people give up on their run because of close games.

I haven't seen one post from a Blackcat fan saying that they have given up on Prestonsburg. All the Blackcat supporters that post regularly feel that the Blackcats haven't been playing on the same level as they once were when they defeated Breahitt County, Paintsville, Bath County, Pikeville, and Cooper.
As for these so-called off the field problems you have mentioned, I talk to the players regularly and only 2 players have had off the field distractions, that's no more than any other Blackcat team has had in the past. The are 100% healthy now from what I've been told and nothing should be hold them back. So excuses like that are not going to win them any games in the playoffs, they should know whats at stake now and should be motivated enough to make a deep run into the playoffs.
Go Blackcats!

Where was all the Pburg fans the stands was empty?
11-09-2008, 11:16 PM
Why is it Pburg had a bad game? Maybe PCC is better than everybody gives them credit for. Get beat by hazard and Pburg with big play at the end of the game. They beat a good LCC team . They have lost 3 games by 7 points. Sheldon clark by 4, Hazard by 2, Pburg by 1, All three teams have been in the top all year. And all 3 have won in the last 3 min or less. So just maybe PCC aint that bad of a team. One of there biggest problem is that they are young.
