Thought so because they return this year to. I think theres alot more returners than what people think. Some players last year didnt play both ways.

I am looking forward to a good game between Alcoa and Bell County. To the great fans, school, coaches and players at Bell County: We look forward to a great, injury free game between our schools and hope that we can continue this tradition. To those people who say "not so nice things" about the other team; shame on you! We should all just enjoy this competition and cheer for all the student athletes on the field so they can be the best they can be!

I am an Alcoa fan and I say let the best team win on Friday night. :thanks:

I think BlackcatAlum has it almost right...........Alcoa by 20 points. I hope for an injury free game for all!

Freshman 22 (2008 Middle School State Runners-Up)
Sophmore 9
Junior 15
Seniors 6
Total 52 players

Only six seniors? That is an awfully young team to predict big things from.

Do you know how many Sophmores and Juniors started for Bell Co last year?

Not many juniors, because there was only six of them!

7 to be exact. Raines, Lowe, Marcum, Howard, Lawson, Collett, and Fuson.

6 Jrs started last year.
5 Soph's did as well with 2 more splitting time with the starters.

Lots of experience.

3 new starters on offense will get their 1st start on Friday.

4 new starters on defense Friday night.

Bobcat Dad, you are gonna have to let the dogs out Friday night and let them play with our friends from the south. Just dont let them be to out-control and the home team will do fine. :notworthy

Bridge good to see you back. Hope we can keep it civil and mature.

Any preview's online for Local papers in Alcoa? I checked out Prep Extra but it was pretty vague.

How come if they had 7 jr last year, they only have 6 sr this year? Bell is a good team year after year, but this is a hard game to pick with most people not knowing much about their opponent. Good luck Bell, bring a win home for KY.

They have 7 seniors this year. 2 players did not return for their senior year. Neither were expected to contribute.

Rain may not be a bad thing.....what is the story on the ineligible players? or is that just a joke?

I guess it depends on which team you're talking about. Bell normally does well on a muddy field. Most definitely on their own field!
I'd like to hear something about the ineligible players as well. For real????

Must be an excuse they are preparing for.:eyeroll:

Here we go. Bell county is finally playing a good team. Bell Co. always has and always will play in the weakest region, and the weakest class in the state. Every time they rework the classes Bell Co. always ends up in the easy class. Someone needs to drive to Alcoa and talk to the football coach. Tell him that Dudley Hilton has ran the score up on everybody he has played. He would run it up on the Kentucky School for the Blind if he played them. He does this because it is all for Dudley. As arrogant as he is he really does think he is Bear Bryant. What he is is a disgrace to high school football. I hope I get to see Alcoa run the score up on him like he has done everybody else that he could do it to. Go Alcoa, and please run the score up if you can!!!!!!!!!!!
