Just charge your ipods, pack some trail mix and bananas and time just flies by.

And you could also bring McCreary along with Bell-Corbin and put Estill with Bourbon-Garrard....

I know. There's a lot cant's.
But, you definitely shouldn't take Bell out of the East. I would make sure of that before I made it a point to keep Estill/Powell together.... I don't know?????

I'm just happy to see Bell and Corbin get to play.
Still wish 1/2 of HS games where on Friday and half on Saturday nights. That would boost attendance everywhere as other schools kids and fans could travel to watch neighbors.

Switch Bath and Casey. After that switch the district numbers to put Bell's district back in the east. They should be district 5.

Here's My Fix:
District 4 â Jackson County, Casey County, Garrard County, McCreary Central, Wayne County
District 5 - Bath County, Bourbon County, Estill County, Morgan County, Powell County
District 7 - Breathitt County, Bell County, Knott County Central, Magoffin County, Corbin
District 4 â Jackson County, Casey County, Garrard County, McCreary Central, Wayne County
District 5 - Bath County, Bourbon County, Estill County, Morgan County, Powell County
District 7 - Breathitt County, Bell County, Knott County Central, Magoffin County, Corbin

^^^
1.Belfry vs. 4.Magoffin
2. SC vs. 3. Corbin
3. PC vs. 2. Breathitt
4. Lawrence vs. 1. Bell

I have two problems with that. First you're putting 3 of the best 4 team on the east side in the same district together. And then that would also pit Belfry, Bell, Corbin, and Breathitt facing in the regional finals. I like having Bell/Corbin on the top and Belfry/Breathitt on the bottom of the districts. That way they would meet up in the state semis. Hope you can follow along with my crazy figuring....

Breathitt, Bell, and Corbin shouldn't all three be in the same district.
I also would like to keep Bell and Corbin in districts 5 or 6 and Belfry, Breathitt in districts 7 or 8. That way you will more than likely have Bell/Corbin vs. Belfry/Breathitt in the state semis.

Bobcat_Dad Wrote:Bell will be traveling if they make it to Central for the Region and Paducah or Ft. Campbell for the Semi's. That is crazy. Would Bourbon and Estill district not be closer to Louisville and Western Ky than Bell and Corbin????
Estill should stay in a district with Breathitt, they have developed quite the rivalry! I also heard that Estill would be in the same district as Bell and Corbin

We just don't need the traditional powers in the east moved out to the west. I'm sure we can name the teams that definitely needs to stay put in the east.

Lawrence Co used to be in a District w Mason, Russell, Flemming, East,West and Lewis. Still trying to figure out how they load up District 8 w Breathitt also in that Region and put Mason in a traditional cakewalk to final 4 without playing any of those schools (belfry, Lawrence, Bell, SC, Pike Central, Breathitt).
As for travel Russell has a bigger gripe IMO than Bell. For what it's worth Lawrence had to play Mayfield in the final 4 my Jr year. I don't think there will ever be a longer drive then that one.
Bowling Green has it made too.

That District 8 looks to be a war every year. Belfry, SC, PC, and Lc all together? They could very well sweep the first round of the playoffs!
Poor East Ridge. Whatever progress they have made the last couple years will likely go for naught...

Bell would have to travel to Paducah. That's totally from one end of the state to the other. The travel is bad period but the biggest thing is, Bell should not be taken out of the east.

Exactly. Jewellie knew when to wave  the flag and walk away. He knew Bell was going to put it do them.

They have gas stations in Pineville just like they do in every other town in the state of KY

I have a hard time listening about how they will have something to say about anything. I'm sorry, it just doesn't carry any weight with me. I think we all know if Bell/Corbin wasn't in the district together that game would never be played....

I can't figure why they would match districts up like that. The only good thing I can see coming out of this is, two mountain teams could possibly play each other for a state title in 3a.

Not being a smarA or anything but what is the name of that county again? I would be worried about lining up against herny if you know what I mean.

Jewell should have played and hushed the whining. He took away one of the best rivalries going. Everyone knows that.
As far as what's coming up, I'm sure Corbin has some nice players coming up.
Bell might have a couple themselves.
