Maybe it's spring break in Canada Confusednicker:

Cougar Connection Wrote:I feel for the kids that have to be in the middle of politics and irresponsible decisions by adults. ER does not need any transfers from any country to establish school culture or positive and comfortable learning environments to improve their school! They need leadership from the administration and community that is not self-centered and concerned with political power at any cost. All about the Kids! Right! and more garbage! Sounds Good, but in the meantime good hard working students are suffering lost opportunities to develop skills and a chance to show what they can do in a fair equal playing field. Play the awesome kids you have and stop look for assistance from those i the political areana who don't care about the school, community, or the kids.

WHAT? Arent your kids transfers. Pretty sure your daughter played at east ridge and it took politics to get her eligable at SVHS.

Found Pot has anyone seen Kettle anywhere??????????????????????

#65

Guys seriously who cares about all this transfer hoopla, seriously. I am so sick of reading about this garbage and it's all EVERYBODY wants to talk about. If they come back then they come back, if they don't come back then they don't come back, if they transfer then they transfer. Just let it be and lets talk about other high school stuff. I just hope these young athletes are not getting bad advice because they won't be able to just go anywhere they want and play high school basketball, just won't work that way. I hope they stay put and ER will once again be a Regional contender, but if they don't then ER still has a very young team with a bright future!!! I can only hope that all this garbage and non-sense does not run off Coach Lemaster and he take another job b/c of this hoopla. I've also heard rumors that several high schools have been in contact with Lemaster about coaching jobs, is any of this true or anyone know about that???
#68
Hey I have a great idea! Why don't both coaches from SOUTHWESTERN and ERIDGE move to Canada and take their little AAU recruiters ( JM) with them since they love the Canadian talent and let our schools play with their own talent!!!

No, maybe don't post it. Its stupid. What's it going to change? If they come back, they will play, if they don't, they won't. We all know your and the other people's opinion on this matter, you guys have only posted it a million times. The only purpose in continuing this line of discussion is to try to get a fight started. If you want to fight, spread rumors, tell tales, and spread gossip, take yourself to topix and leave the sports talking to the people who really want to do it.

If people spent one half the time talking about sports as they do trying to find something to fight about, we would be in real shape!

Fact is... whether Kasongo comes back to ER or not, there isn't a team in East KY or KY period that wouldn't gladly accept him on their team. Everyone else is just upset because he didn't end up at their school.
#74
If Ray dont come back he will be graduating this year...Canada is a year ahead of us....So if Kasongo dont come back hes gone to college...and if Tony dont he will be a senior next yera in Canada and only a junior in USA!
#75
lol...they won't be back in a Canada school even if they don't come back to ER. But I'm pretty sure both will be at East Ridge next season.

It's still pretty funny to see the level of dumb on this and other matters around here, like the post above mine. It's not that simple, lol.

I'd doubt he is. He's going to be a good coach but hes a long way yet. You dont get alot of offers when you have 2 recruits and the most talented team in the regeion and dont win it. But If our admin can leave him alone for several years it may happen. But considering our track record I dont see that happening either.
#78
He has some talent on the team but not a ton in the feeder programs.
#79
They are both back. Saw them at the East Ridge baseball game tonight.
#80
For those wondering why they've been away, perhaps someone can explain the concept of "EHO's"
#81
^ EHO - Educational Enhancement Opportunity. Basically a bunch of BS that I see people use and abuse more and more in East KY. Students are allowed up to 10 days of absence per yer (very few schools want you to know this) for this purpose. It is intended to be used for kids to attend activities that have educational purpose, significant educational value or an activity that directly relates to core curriculum.

What happens is... say a kid has a dance tournament, baseball/softball tournament or just wants to go on a family vacation that causes them to miss school. They complete this form, the Superintendent or whoever signs off on it and tada the kid is granted an excused absence. More than likely this is what these boys here used... They enhanced their education by visiting a foreign country.

vundy33 Wrote:Ray likes to screw with people, lol. He also said he was going to Shelby Valley on his Facebook back in November. So oh yeah, Facebook is 100% accurate.

Listen, this is the last time I'm discussing this. Tony will be back, Ray will probably be back. I could care less what his FB says, this is what he's told me in person, on the phone. I know for a fact he'll be back to at least visit because we're going to HBDays together, but not sure if he'll be back at ER. But he's probably going to be there, just depends on his family situation.

That is the facts, end of story.

Proof enough for me!

I was told yesterday that Ray's little brother is already in the area. I think his name is Rader Kasongo a 6'10" freshman. I am not sure about the name or spelling but was told he was staying at Feds Creek.
#84
That's scary.

Didn't come up here, Ray's brother and father were in Lexington, Ray went up for the weekend to visit them. No plans for his brother to move to the U.S.

Is coach Preston leaving East Ridge?

#89

i dont see what the big deal is ......they neither one really impressed me last year so what they can dunk the ball BIG WHOOP. YOU WANT TO BUILD A STRONG PROGRAM STAY IN YOUR AREA AND WORK WITH YOUR FEEDER SCHOOLS. you dont have to recruit player to help u win .......... look at valley a few years back every player on that team was from virgie and dorton except for zack ramey and he really never played any real high school ball booher just did what he had to do to win with what was handed to him.............you play the hand your dealt:closeenough:
