Johnson Central 22 Ashland 21(OT)
#61
How do you give up a TD on 4th and 19 on the 19??? Where was the secondary help?

tomcat4life Wrote:Unfortunately the JC fans will probably get introduced to Maulmiester officiating fan club next year.
I guess Ironton would actually have to answer to the ohsaa if they used that crew against in state teams.

I had heard that from multiple sources. Thankful we bring back about everybody and they will have large graduation losses. Might even it out versus the ref crew.

They say you're supposed to forget those things and play the next play...

Maybe one day they'll actually take us out of Northern Kentucky and we can play in the playoffs again.

I still remember that game. Ashlands Qb fumbling the football still haunts me.

Tough loss for the Tomcats but once everyone gets healthy they should be fine. No shame in losing to Johnson Central, especially on their field. They have some of the best fans in the area and they really get fired up for their team. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.

Proud of my TOMCATS! Keep your heads up Cats great game.

Hey, NotsoBADCAT, I notice there's no "congrats" to the Eagles again this year. Gee, that playing second fiddle year after year, after year, after year, after year really takes a toll on a guy , doesn't it?

See ya next year. I know this game usually ends your season on here. Old traditions die hard..

Ok I apologize for saying Its just ashland you wont ever here me say it again..I have alot of respect for ashland program especially coach Hart..But for you to say we dont win unless we have our refs is BS and you know it..I dont think we have had our refs as you call it when we come to Putnam and win..So talk about arrogance and disrespect saying the only way we beat you is with refs COME ON MAN!!! Now that I have commented for last time about this I wish Ashland and JC the best of luck to you both for the playoffs and hope one of you win it all..Because unlike some people I root as hard for all the area teams win playoff time comes around...

Never mind guys. Just talk to someone and he isn't hurt and played well.

I never figured out during the first ashland drive why they went to the pass after gashing central with three straight runs out of the I.

I don't recall them gashing JC on 3 straight runs on their opening drive. Ashland collected 1 maybe 2 first downs their first possession and faced 3rd and 12. That's probably why they passed. Paintsville was on the road last night so you didnt have to worry about holding the chains there. Should have went and asked Coach Hart yourself if you wanted to know. He was an offensive coordinator at EKU, might have more knowledge about that topic.

Great game by both teams. Congratulations JC!

Belcher played a hell of a ball game, he ran as hard as I have seen him run. He is coming into his own.

Well I think your coach said it best. "It is a miracle we beat Ashland 3 times on this field by 1 point we are a religious bunch here at jcc" so looks like divine intervention according to coach matnèy was the only way you beat these tomcats at least in those 3 games. Looks like your the one who should be thanking the Big Guy upstairs cause apparently us Tomcats ain't living right an just didn't deserve to win.

An you guys talk about Ashland Being arrogant. Geez, God is on your side that's priceless!

I totally agree with ya that you might not be living right!! Give a little respect and you might get some from us here at JCC :welcome:

There may be magic at Eagle Field. However, I doubt God hates Ashland. Just another classic. That's all.

Wow, this was some kind of game!!!!
In overtime, decision to go for two for the win instead of for the tie.....LOVE it!!
No guts; no glory...

Congratulations Eagles!!!!!

I did not say the refs have ever beat us. I whole heartedly believe you know what your up against going in. PLAY ABOVE IT. Ironton is a great program. They don't need to use officials that give Ironton the edge. But the do anyway. Everytime the the Maulmeisters stripe up it cheapens the greatness surrounding Ironton. It lessens everything lutz did at Ironton.
And please explain why they only call games against out of state trams

I'll tell you what's priceless NotsoBADCAT. There is nothing more hilarious than for you to get on here on and endlessly run your mouth about how this is the year that you are going to do this, you are going to do that, and then get is shoved back down your throat. And then of course after you get made the fool out of "again", you mysteriously vanish from this website until August of the next year to startup your yearly ritual of belittleing everyone else with your arrogance, only to see the exact same thing happen again..Confusednicker:

It's also funny that your illegitimate son, Tomcat Pride, has completely vanished from the face of the earth after all of the smart mouth comments he made too.

What you dont understand about Coach Matney is that he is a very gracious winner, and does not go into trying to verbally humiliate the opponent he just beat stuff. He'd say the same thing if he beat anyone else by 70. Your just plain too dumb (or arrogant) to figure that out. It's called class. But that's certainly not something that I would expect for you and TP to ever remotely understand. Do you really think he was never confident from the get go that he could continue his dynasty of beating Ashland year in and year out???Confusednicker:

Ah, NotsoBADCAT, you'll just never learn to keep that big mouth of yours shut !!! I guess it's like the old TV commercial, when it comes to those incessant flappy gums of yours. It obvious that "Round here, it's a tradition" is really the way it is.

Hey by the way, did ya'll dig the new selection of "tunes" this year? They were picked out especially for you two sore losers. I know how forward you look to coming to the nest to rockon with your NotsoBADCAT self. I figure you'll want to call the KHSAA "again" and tell them how much you enjoyed the concert this year.

Talk to you next year, ol buddy.Confusednicker:

You want to talk about class after the thread " prayers for tomcat pride" you put up last night. Really. You define no class.
Thankfully that thread was deleted

Ah, lighten up and get a sense of humor. :eyeroll: That "cat" had it coming. Anybody who followed the pregame thread, couldn't in any way, take anything serious.

I don't think anything was shoved down any Ashland fans throat. Remember this Ashland team didn't have 2 top wideouts and 2 top rb's and it still took a miracle td catch and a miraculous dive to the endzone to beat them. Nothing wa shoved down our throat. We were very short handed and the ball didn't bounce our way at the end.

Coach Matney once again proves that he is the best "situational football coach" in Eastern Kentucky. Last nights game is another example of his team executing under pressure. Coach Matney had his team prepared for that situation, and they went out on the field and showed it. First and formost Coach Matney's team trusts him! I just don't understand why Asland coach never went for 2 in OT?????? JC had went for 2 about all year. Did Ashland"s coach really think that JC was going to kick if they scored in OT?? Just another example of a Coach not thinking things out! If Ashland doesn't make the 2 what did they really lose??? If I was a Ashland fan or player I would have to wonder what my coach was thinking.

^lol.......Boy I never thought you would resort to the excuse making like your co-horts. You just didn't seem the type. Anyways it's not just this year that these two yakkity yaks pull these stunts. It's their tradition. Injuries are all part of the game. The great teams find ways to win with or without. It's called depth. The winners are usually the ones that come out on top of these games because they have developed depth, especially when the season starts to winds down. Besides what happened to all that incredible depth that those two yahoos are always going on about? Yet here you are making the excuses. I didn't hear Ironton crybabbing around when they got beat.

Miarcle catch? I dont know what was so miracle about to begin with. Adkins made his position in the end zone and Gound placed the ball perfectly. Your acting like it was some sort of hail Mary pass that was batted around by a dozen players and he is the lucky one that came down with it?

Yeah, I would expect to hear your little buddies crying around. They do it every year. Come now TCF72000000000. You dont want to be defined as being in their class.

I understand what coach hart was thinking I just don't agree with it. He was thi king by kicking it it gives him another chance to win the game if we stop the 2 our defense being healthier than our offense is probably why he kicked it. If we go for 2 an don't get it. It doesn't matter if we stop the 2 the game still goes on. But with the way JC runs the ball u don't think staking the game on 3 yards was the answer.

Oh no excuse JC won the fan fair and square. The officials were on top of everyhing and both teams traded blows. Idk if baker is healthy if it makes a difference or not noone can say for sure. Your right you have to play with who you have. And I think the coaches did a good job having the team ready incase baker couldn't go. But nothing got shoved down anyone's throat is all i was saying. No excuses as to why Ashland lost. Why Ashland lost is not going for 2 in ot. That's it right there everyone knew matney was going for 2 and I mean everyone. Also playing man coverage in the td pass an having no defender even near the goal line when it is 4th and 20 why not drop back and keep it in front of you? No. Excuses the players on both teams were even. JC's coaching staff won them the game and some questionable at best decisions by Ashlands lost it. That is it.
