If u look back at the kids playing now most of there dads played they were all pretty good size young man . I no we went threw years of terrible football seaons if we would had a coach like mattney 20 years ago jc would be one of the top 5 teams in ky . What mattney has done since he came to Johnson county he made us a winging program . Love him or hate him I've seen mattney at all the games in the county supporting his young playes . Coach is a great guy would love him on my side in any battle .

I would love to play lex cath so we need to pick up 3 games next season get lex cath. To play us . Cath has not done no better at betting ft Thomas then we have . I bet u if we played this year or next jc would have running clock on lex cath .

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Who is Mattney, what is a blackcats? and where the heck is Floyd Co? And as far as Bill Letton, I assume that's who you are talking about. No! Lex Cath only plays non district games with the likes of state champs Bowling Green, powerhouse Saint X, Cov Cath, out of state powerhouse schools and tons of 6A class teams. They may get their teeth handed to them, but they sure are ready by the time playoffs starts up. No they are not going to waste their time playing a possible 4A team that they might meet in the playoffs. I sure hope you understand what I'm typing here cause I having a big problem trying to follow and read your post. Again I am not and will not bash your football program. Im bashing the morons that called me out.

Nowhere in that post I mentioned anything about being a bad program or whoever this Matney is. JC will roll past their opponent till they met up in the state quater or semi-final vs the team(s) I mentioned.

Since the Matney era began at JC in 2004, we've had 5 shutout wins.

Matney's first game in 2004.... at Pineville VS. Whitesburg 42-0

2005 in a rain soaked, lighting delayed monsoon vs. Lawrence County 43-0

2006 in a muddy swamp @ Mason County to win the district and have our second ever 10-0 regular season..... 40-0

2007 @ South Point, OH. 34-0

And 54-0 win @ Greenup County with the last 3 points coming from a 60 yard state field goal record kick by Tyler Pack.

I wouldn't say running clock on Lex Cath. That being said, I DO think we could play on pretty even footing with them this year, or Boyle or Collins or Cov Cath, and I'd take our chances with pretty much anybody in 4A...well, except the usual exception. Hopefully we'll see then.

First of all POOP, I got on this thread cause I placed my opinion between JC and Rowan Co and I picked JC to steam roll over the Vikings. All of a sudden, I get these barages of negative comments because someone with a similar log- in name called out your coach. I think Coach has done a good job at JC. But FBfan4life you bring up some valid points. JC does play a cream puff schedule . Is that the Coach who schedules these cream puff teams .But JC will rule the Mountains with Belfry but I think Belfry has a better chance to get to Bowling Green then JC .
