Pikeville vs East Ridge scrimmage 8/15
#61
This get together will benefit both teams: With the toughest schedule by far this side of Lexington and probably one of the two toughest in entire state they can use all the rest they can now. But call me crazy but ER could benefit most from it.

Both teams really need this and it's not about winning or losing its not a secret that the Panthers are on a different level. However since Pikeville is to play no doubt one of the top 2 or 3 schedules in all of Ky they need to rest. ER will learn and build on this. Playing better competition will make them better

Can’t you come up with anything new but I guess it’s preseason so you are getting your scrimmage in

2. Pikeville opens at CAL, Cabell Midland, Raceland, at Johnson Central, at Belfry. Wouldn't be smart to line up against Trinity and St. X heading into that.

3. What Belichick said.

Cal scrimmaging Franklin Co this week.

So?

The point is that Iron sharpens Iron and you can't shy away from good competition in the Pre Season and then expect to be ready for one of the Hardest Schedules in the State. It will lead to injuries and in the end the Coach is suppose to have them prepared for the Schedule that he put together. Betsy Layne, Martin Co, LCC and East Ridge won't even prepare you for Belfry moreless CAL and the rest of the Gauntlet.
Preaching iron sharpens iron to Pikeville fans is a freaking hoot. Looking forward to your next lecture...but maybe you should run out and win a bunch of championships first lol
Dang Jet, you're a hard man to get one up on, I've laughed my a$$ off at some of these replies you've came up with lol !!

I may be wrong but didn’t belfry and LCC play in a one point game last year?? So not sure the logic on that one that they can’t get them ready for good teams. Obviously Martin and east ridge aren’t on the same level but Martin has played in back to back regional championship games and can’t control who they play to get there. As mentioned earlier teams aren’t knocking down the door to play pike so I’d say they have to take what they can get to ensure they are playing a full schedule which they haven’t been able to do every year. I’m sure they want to help their neighbors out also and give them a glimpse of one of the best programs around in a controlled scrimmage which in turn can help make football better in our region. Their line play last Friday obviously had some kinks to work out do to graduation, transfers and injury so it would be best to have some confidence going into the gauntlet that is coming up the first half of the season instead of being beat down by week 5.

This shouldn’t even be happening. Pikeville will steam roll them and they may have to bring out the elementary football team to compete.

I saw it was 36-6 at the half.

New to this whole thing, not sure if any streaming stations were there, but pretty sure Pikeville handled them 36-6
