You gotta admit though that JC fans have made mention of this scrimmage several times throughout the year...pretty much anytime Bell and JC are mentioned in the same sentence.
If Matney went fishing with you he would want to catch the biggest and most fish, and he would stay on the lake until he won. No other coach shows up at a scrimmage against a team with their game uniforms on and cheerleaders. This is not being critical, or mean, because i have known Matney for a long time and he is special. It is just that some coaches view scrimmages differently. Matney wants to win any and everything. However, there is no hardware given out for dominating a scrimmage, and there in no cancellation of the season if you lose one.

There's no two teams without as much success as Bell Co. and Belfry. They're the benchmark that all others want to get to. The game of the year would definitely be Bell and Belfry. Give these two the respect they deserve.
Bottom line, give credit where credit is due. I'm a parent of one of the players on the Bell Col. football team and that is a great honor for him. I know that it is a honor to play for Belfry as well. These two teams win, year in and year out. No other two teams can even come close to their accomplishments throughout the last decade or so. Matter of fact, way over a decade. And for you Johnson Central fans, you're a long way from being up there with them. Win some big time games year in and year out and then join in the club with these two elite teams. I have a warning for you as well, if you think beating Belfry is a giving you'll go home sadly disappointed. They'll not lay down and give you a win. Not that you can't beat them, but bet on it, it won't be handing to you. They'll not lay down and die. Be ready come tomorrow night. If you win, congrats. But before you declare the King of the mountains you have quite awhile of winning and years to go. Give Belfry credit. I would love to see us and Belfry play each other. That would be a great game with alot of respect for both teams from the players, coaches, and fans.
With all due respect...The Eagles KNOW Belfry will not lay down..We have played them before. Eagles also "respects" the Pirates. I would love to see JC play Bell in a "real" game. (this year)

They did IMO get robbed of number 3. Merger, I mean, Mercer County got in their way.:redboxer: I, for one, will be pulling for Matney and his boys and the Eagle fans to get a taste of the Pizza box.

Every Johnson Central fan on this thread, I talked with Dudley and some of his staff and said that he has week 0,1,3,4 and 7 open. He would love to play Johnson Central, he has tried to schedule with Matney and he will not play. Clay Co. tried to get Bell and Johnson Central to come to the Bowl game in 09/10 and Matney would not play Bell. Call the folks at Clay Co. and they will tell you the same thing. We have played Bell the past two years and will continue, Bell having there best team in 2009/2010

I believe you are sadly mistaken on that point. JCHS will play anyone.
