To me it is too close to call, but I will take the Eagles by 3 in a battle. BTW, there is nothing wrong with being one dimensional if that dimension is one of the best ground games in the state. Ask the Pirates of Belfry what kind of hardware you can collect being one dimensional.hh:

Yeah, I know what you are saying...and yes JC likes to run the ball...but they can pass if need be i think...so its not really just one dimensional...and believe me when i say JC knows Belfry..and they know them well...lol...JC has a lt of respect for the Belfry program.

They were absolutely one dimensional last year with zero passing game. Did they change it up this year? I think it is pretty hard to do it successfully in just one year.

Did not work for JC last year because it gets tougher in the bigger classes. It looks like it will be even tougher this year if they stay one dimensional because HHS looks to be even better this year and has more size to go along with the usual speed.

That is the same thing being said last year before the Highlands game and what did they do?, 3 passes and 2 were intercepted (if I remember corectly)

It has worked well, until they played a great team. Boyle County is no slouch and if you have no passing game to speak of...i.e., you won't throw for at least 150-200 yards, then they'll load the box and you'll be running into a wall all night. Will JC break through and score, yes. But those few points they muster won't be enough to knock off Boyle Co.

Love Boyle they are really one of the great teams of the state and chances are Bell will get to play Boyle in the playoffs and we have Johnson central on the schedule but if i had to pick
Boyle County-42
Johnson Central-28
Boyle County-42
Johnson Central-28

I guess thats why these teams play each other....to see who wins and who loses. I'm not the coach, so I wont be making the decisions on when to pass the ball or when to drive it down the field.....I believe this will be a great game and i guess i will leave it at that....see you friday

Not taking a thing away from Highlands. Highlands is a phenominal team, but if i may say so myself, JC bid farily well against Highlands.

They sure did, and add a passing game to their off and they would have been even more dangerous.

This is probably the best game in the state friday and the atmosphere will more than likely be electric to bad it is so far away, but I am going to go with the home team in this one.

I think Matney actually played for Coach Roddy, not Haywood? (Somebody who knows Belfry history better than I can correct that if I'm wrong.)

I disagree, JC has a very mobile QB now that can create prolbems and JJ Jude adds speed to the backfiled they did not have last year. It will be tough to stop four very good rushers. JC can make the pass play this year enough to break the big play and keep the D honest. JC is a running team, but one dimensional, no way, too many weapons!

I hope my gut feeling is right and they are a little more proficient with the pass game this year. I'm not saying 10 completions a game but maybe 3-4 which would be a huge improvement at Central. First game in 24 hrs so i will find out soon.

Hope jc had a great week of practice. It's game day and I found a way to listen to the game at least. Wish I was there good luck jc. Hope for no injuries for both teams.

Should be a great one. I'll go with the home team by a score of 28-21.
