I have been wanting to say this all week, and not to upset any of our Ashland friends, but honestly Ashland seems to only schedule Belfry when they are loaded with talent...I don't guess I can blame them.
hh: This years Belfry team is quite young for the most part and quite honestly ripe for the picking especially through the air. I think we can still wear anyone out on the ground. I have listed IMO, what will be the keys a win:
Belfry:
1. Keep the ball (No fumbles)
2. Run the ball all night long, eat up the clock
3. Stop punting the ball out of bounds
4. No silly delay of game or offsides penalties
5. DEFENSE!
Ashland:
1. Air it out, the secondary is a weak link
2. Cover the weakside
3. Stack the box (NOT A SECRET)
GO PIRATES!!!

I would like to say Ashland would win this game, but Belfry is always better at home and they play their best in big games.

thng is usually both these programs are usually good
i do not think the tomcats would dodge anyone considering that they play russell ironton every year im sure there are other scheduling reasons for this that only the powers that be at belfry and ashland know

Oh, I'm sure Ashland would be more than happy to play Belfry (or most anyone else) every year....as long as the game took place in Putnam (without reciprocity).
That's not a secret to anyone.

That's why there playing AT Belfry? Could this be sour grapes, from serious butt kicking P-burg recieved courtesy of the Tomcats at PUTNAM stadium? Was this the game that had a running clock to start right after the second half started?:lmao:
