Greenup County @ Rowan County 10/2
#61
The great Kosar knows all.
#62
I think the outcome of this game depends on which Rowan team shows up: the one that lost to Garrard County or the won that took Mason County to the edge. They are steadily improving. However, Greenup is improving quickly as well. Coach Copley will not let them play flat. Which team has improved the most since last week?
#63
If either one of them get any playing time this year I would be very surprised.Rister or Troxler either one would'nt even make a good jv player for Greenup.Maybe next year if they put the work in ,then maybe they will be good jv players. I guess Raceland figured out how good they are and wasn't interested.
#64
They could fill in on some plays i believe troxler should have ran the ball for raceland while barr was out, he seems to have put on weight and looks like he could fit somewhere. Maybe raceland missed out on a good back by not giving him any playing time. Offense or defense he could have made the diffrence. And for rister i understand raceland receivers just couldn't catch!

Rowan County wins!!!

Greenup County 2-3

Rowan County 4-2

All these players left GC, and are now returning Rister, Kitchen, Troxler and the 2 Duncan brothers, they are all returning now, my question is, why did they leave in the first place? now Rister probaly left cause he wamts to be in a passing offense.:insane:

If the fans and the parents are this confused about all of this can you imagine how the team is feeling:please:? I know that the coach will do what is the best for the team. Right now the boys need to stay focused and worry about Rowan County none of this other stuff is that important.
#68
Now on to the game, who besides the Cross kid do they have? I have not heard much mentioned about anyone else. IMO one player does not a team make.:dontthink
#69
That is what I was wondering... and I agree with you totally, one player doesn't make a team.
#70
Alot of times people forget about those boys who are on the line making it possible for those boys who get the touchdowns. A TEAM works for each other, and that's what I hope to see friday night on the MUSKETEER side of the ball.:Cheerlead ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL.
#71
Anyone know how many Seniors Rowan has ?
#72
9 Seniors. Cross is a Junior, their 2nd leading rusher is a Senior (Tj Chinn). Williamson is a sophmore and so is their QB Adam Wing.
#73
Thanks for the info Musketeer.
#74
Does anyone know how practice went? We lead the overall series with Rowan County at 15 wins and 4 losses, T.J. Chinn is also a good running back, but it is up front, how well does their line block? Does anyone know if there is a TD meeting tomorrow?
#75
TD meeting is at 5:30 tomorrow, everyone try and come out.

By the way any news about Grayson or Kitchen returning this week? We sure could use those boys this Friday.

Also I seen on the news that Fairview closed their school for the next 3 days due to the flu, how are we looking right now as far as the boys being sick? I hope the bug has moved on somewhere else.

That what that's right has been telling all you hard headed people out there, I've seen it happen many times, this stuff isn't good for any program! Now your coming around. You throw all those come-back kids in the picture and feelings get hurt over playing time and there you go back to the last few Greenup years of football.:flush::flush:
#77
I think this coach will make the right decision on playing kids without any help from the stands, that's what was wrong with greenup football. The better players diddn't always get to play or was put at a position that diddn't fit the player because someone in the stands diddn't like it. If the kid can play and win a position it only makes a better team and everybody try harder. But that's just my opinion.
#78
Each week the coach makes changes in positions based on who performed the best that week. In other words the boys earn their spot. And as for putting the others that just came back on the team they too will have to earn their spot.

This in return makes everyone try harder and play to the best of their ability.

I'm sure that some parents might not like this because a 10th grader might start over a 11th grader and so on. But in the end I'm positive all the boys want to win.

Thanks Dr. Phil.:blabbermo Worry about the Rams and let us worry about us.
#80
Thank you Ophra, you did make me famous! On the other nicer side of dr. phil you are right on the post about playing time, If a freshman is a stud and works hard in practice he should start over a senior that doesn't work hard or isn't a better player; That is what life is all about.
#81
P.S. Kosar I support kids next door that plays for Greenup, I do live close to you by the way!
#82
You live on Smithbranch?
#83
Should be a real good game. Both teams need to win to help host a play off game. Goodluck to both teams.

You are so right, the game, I think will be decided by which team controls the time of possession and also special teams, keeping the ball out of the hands of RC D. Cross and GC R.Carter, punt to either of these guy's and it could be 6 quick, also this is for a playoff game at home possibly. Greenup County plays Rowan this week, and Lawrence next Friday at home, there are no easy paths to the playoffs.

Let us worry about the Rams and you worry about your Musketeers Jerry.

Will there be any radio broadcast ?

barlow Wrote:Will there be any radio broadcast ?
107.5 FM the Breeze, at least we have a radio station that covers our games, do the Rams still have their game telecasted on Saturday mornings on a AM station, just wondering?:eyeroll:
#89
Why are u so worried about trying to outdo a little 1A school? Are you really bragging about a radio broadcast? I hope you're joking. Shouldn't you be more concerned with schools like Lawerence Co.? Or Rowan Co.? You make the rest of your good GC fans look bad.

Good luck Greenup, everyone have a safe trip, and players stay injury free.
#90
THANKS for radio information.
