Everyone keeps saying that they can stop Boards, York and Costello but no one has. I didn't say they would abandon the run, just that they can throw if the need to. Maybe this week they will need to, maybe not. I wish you would just give them the respect that they have earned.
ACS has my respect they have to be good or they wouldnt be playing for a state title.Being a Boyle fan we know how good our defense is against the run.we may sound cocky, but our defense year in and year out has helped us win 6 state titles.DEFENSE wins championships.

I may be wrong, but i thought he played last night.

Boyle is a powerhouse no doubt about it. They would not be playing for the title if they were anything less. We will all know how good each team is when they strap em up. Until then we will just have to agree to disagree about the running game verses the run stop. If you are on a prep website talking about high school football at 7:00 on a Saturday night you obviously love the game of football as much as I do. I expect that we will see a good game next week and am looking forward to it.

I'm rooting for ACS, but see Boyle pulling it out.
Good luck to the Patriots. You guys WILL cause havoc on the ground.
Prediction is 38-13, Boyle win.

From what I was told, Kendrick had that great a week of practice.
The two shared time much of the game but Kendrick got the start and more series is what I was told. Kendrick ended up with 4 tackles on the game.

In the last three years the only team that has put up that many points was Lone Oak, and that's because they can pass, and it went to 2 OT's. And we have played teams with much, better offenses than ACS in that span.

Boyle County = 4A State Champs.

There are a lot of us so it seems like we are boasting but for the last three years we have seen a lot of teams throw alot of different things at us and only 1 team has beaten us in those 3 years. Have we not earned the right to disagree with people who say what we can and can't do? One thing we do very very well is stop the run. Any Boyle fan will tell you that the way to beat Boyle County is to pass the ball very very well but funny enough even teams that pass well can't beat us(Lone Oak, LexCath). I am not trying to disrespect ACS nor are the rest of us but honestly when we see the stats for ACS on the year and then look at their schedule and then compare both of those things to ours why wouldn't we think that we will win? If the roles were reversed and ACS was the defending state champ with state's longest winning streak and you have seen teams from all classes step up and get beat down by your team what would you say to us Boyle fans coming to play you guys for a state title? I said all week we were the underdog against Bell County because we were. I'll say all week we are the favorite against ACS because we are. If that is me boasting then so be it. If ACS beats us running the ball I will post congratulations and credit and much crow eating from my iPhone at the end of the game and I will post a picture of myself so the entire ACS fan base can heckle me all of the way out of LT Smith Stadium. I don't want to sound cocky and if I do my apologies but ACS would be the first team to beat us primarily running the ball in the Larry French era and frankly I don't see that happening.
Good luck and I hope for an injury free game. I look forward to popping into my hometown for a quick 3 hour visit for the second year in a row.
I can't wait to go back next year after we shut NKY up next year.
Yeah I said it.

Boyle is just too strong for any team in class 4A (and most of the teams in any other class). From what coach French said, I feel the players may be thinking they have already won the state championship. But I certainly hope that our coach can bring them back down to earth and make them realize that we still have one game left. I don't want a repeat of the Lone Oak scene that we had last year. I am hearing that AC mostly runs the ball. I hope so because our weakness is defending the pass. Nobody, including AC runs the ball with continuing success against Boyle (assuming that our players are back down to earth Friday). Go Rebels

I have been concerned with our pass coverage at times this year but with the exception of Lex Cath in the playoffs Boyle did a good job defending the pass. Catholics QB and receivers were exceptional and it helped that their offensive linemen were able to hold and some cases tackle our guys. One or two long passes will not beat this team.

Boyle by 50-14

I'm with you on this one. I think Boyle would beat Highlands this year. For me it's a toss up between Boyle County and Trinity as the best team overall in the state. That would be a great game! I am pulling for our neighbors ACS to win this one, but it would be the upset of the week for sure.

How long has ACS been a great team/program? I know they lost to Lone Oak last year. Isn't the old Warren Central coach there? Has ACS always been talented or is this the beginnings of a football powerhouse? I don't recall ACS being State Finals good when I grew up in BG. I am very impressed and it is good to see even more winning football programs in SouthCentral Kentucky.

ACS has been building a quality program for a while but has really done well under Coach Brad Hood. The Warren Central coach you asked about is Joe Hood. He is now helping with the freshman and JV teams. The Patriots will be good for years to come. Is it Friday yet?

Is it safe to assume that Brad is Coach Hood's son? That is a lot of football knowledge there. I remember the great Warren Central teams from my day. Despite my Bowling Green/Boyle County allegiance, I have nothing but love for you guys.

Brad Hood is the son of Royce Hood who was the head coach of Allen county when Brad played. Joe Hood is Brad's uncle and coached Warren Central.

Am I wrong or is ACS's head coach the same Hood that was Larry French's OC at Lincoln County ????
