tomcatfan722000 Wrote:you mean the George soros who was valued at 5 billion dollars compared to the 35 billion a piece of the kotch brothers in 2011. Surely you are not saying 5 billion is the same as 70 billion.
If you knew anything about the Koch brothers, you would know they are not as conservative as you would think. One particular issue, gay marriage. I know at least one of the two brothers has commented in support of it. They have made large donations to the liberal ACLU - in particular giving $20 million to the ACLU to combat the Patriot Act during the Bush administration.
What is so bad about the Koch brothers being rich and making political donations? It's their money. They earned it by pouring in tons of hours to ensure that their businesses succeed. The same applies to Soros. As much as I disagree with him putting his money where he does, it's his money that he worked for.
This is a non-issue that is being used by Reid and the democrats to distract from the real issues going on. The Koch brothers have not had control of congress for the past 8 years. The democrats have.
BTW - since you have a major problem with the Koch Brothers, I take it you also have a problem with ActBlue, The AFSCME Union, The National Education Association, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, The American Association for Justice, The Carpenters and Joiners Union, United Auto Workers, The Service Employees International Union, The Laborers Union, The American Federation of Teachers, The Teamsters Union, and The Communication Workers of America.
You have not mentioned one of these organizations, who are 12 of the top 15 political donating organizations - they have donated a combined $620 million to the democratic party, most giving no less than 80% of their money to the democrats. All of them gave less than 10% Republican candidates, and only 3 of them gave above 5% (most of them also gave a small % to a third party that was not disclosed).
Since the Koch brothers have you so upset, I bet seeing this just makes you irate.

If one is familiar with the National Education Association and its influence over government schools, he/she would send his/her children to private schools.

Obama has me working 7 days a week now, so i won't be checking in as much. Friday/Saturday= 45/hr + benefits, Sunday= 60/hour+ benefits.

I wouldn't work 7 days a week for a 100 dollars an hour.
I prefer making decent sums of money on 40 hour work weeks.
Got to have time to spend it.

A drivers license is just one form of id you can use, but they can't make you use it. Voters make the decision on what form of id they show, out of the acceptable list, not the poll workers. Like I've said, I've used a credit card. One of my best friends is a county court clerk, of which, is over polls and voting, and we have discussed this at length. I know the rules, apparently you don't. As much as you like to misrepresent, KY still doesn't have photo id requirements, and likely won't, given the rulings in TX and WI just this week.

You are a stereotypical liberal. When you cannot dispute facts, you cry "racism". You politically correct fools will destroy this country.
Of course, you will have to share the blame with your boy.
It is long past time for responsible citizens to drop the touchy, feely crap and to be truthful. It is time to call a spade a spade.

I think that is a problem with a lot of conservatives today. They try to come across classy and want to avoid offending the other person so they do not get called racist, bigoted, etc. by the liberal. I feel like Romney made this mistake in the third debate against Obama.
In the Bible, Jesus became upset when the temple turned into a marketplace. Jesus ran off all the money chargers. Being a Christian means that yes, we absolutely help those in need and be the best citizens we can be, but it does not mean to be a doormat to the liberals. I feel like too many conservatives fear offending somebody and not being politically correct. Who would have thought political correctness could extend its clammy tentacles onto the football field, into the military, and even into The Church?

THEY ASK TO SEE A DRIVER'S LICENSE FIRST. Then if you're some kind of aberration they will try to accommodate you by the various other means. Others on here have come forth to corroborate this fact with testimony of their own personal experiences but, you go ahead and tell yourself you know better.

I know what the law is, concerning this. According to others testimony, it sounds like the poling people are doing it wrong. If they ask anyone to show a DL, they are breakng the law. They are to only ask for an id, it up to you to provide something with your name on it. Unless you've been through the training to be an election officer, you might want to lay down on this one.

Two major errors about Christianity are accepted by folks of our land in this day. First and more importantly is the notion that when compared to Christians, many feel they are as good as said Christians or maybe even better. I agree with those folks whole heartedly. Bereft of the blood of Christ, there is no good thing residing in any Christian. It is His (Jesus') sacrifice, accepted by those who will, that affords eternal life. And, consequently the changed lives of those who are saved.
Second is the thing that you have pointed out. Almost everybody who is not part of the body of Christ, mistakenly believe that Christians are meek little church mice who dare not respond to any affront. Meekness means power under control, not timidity or weakness under duress. You mention the military. A very timely observation IMO. Our own military has been severely compromised by those (liberals) who have misinterpreted the tenets of the faith and don't understand that there is honor in the defense of one's land. In fact, the Bible is replete with hundreds of examples of God's children going to war and utterly crushing their enemies, as well as some crushing defeats. On precious few occasions the Lord defeated an enemy of Israel with His own hand but, 99 out of a hundred times the people of Israel were expected to fight for themselves. Mighty men of valor and courage. Since Satan's main agenda is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, Israel has faced the specter of war nearly on a continuous basis. In observance of this truth, we see the authority under which the US has the right and the responsibility to take up arms. Not to mention the courage and motivation to so do. That being the case, it isn't hard to diagnose the reason for the lack of commitment and direction on behalf of those who presently direct our affairs of state.
I'm with you 100%, conservatives tip toe around way too much. Hence, folks challenged by the Church for their sin in this day, decry those who would dare to engage them in the name of God to withering assault on two fronts. The verbal assault- To the lost, we have no right to point out sin because, in their minds, we are judging them. Of course it is their own consciences that judge them as is plainly set forth in Scripture. The physical assault- Murder and mayhem fill the news and it will only get much worse. The line of rationale is to condemn Christians as right wing zealots on the order of Adolf Hitler.
None the less, the Church is to boldly stand up to sin. And FTR, Christ did far more than throw the money changers out of the Temple. He openly called Church leaders of the day the sons of Satan. Why would He do this? To over simplify, He had to take away the authority of man (the Church of that day) to dictate the terms of a right relationship with God. And in place of the errant teachings of men, set up Himself as the "Only name under heaven whereby man might be saved." No wonder the Church elite had so little problem in rejecting Him as Messiah and ultimately calling for His crucifixion at the hand of Pilate. They were used to being adored and revered and were not about to let some carpenter from Nazareth do an end run around them. No, you're right on Wide. God is calling men of valor and courage in our time.
Matthew 10:32-33 (KJV)
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Pretty clear is He not?

Define irony. Democrats, promoters of racism, whose life blood are the votes of those on the dole be they of the establishment multigenerational welfare crowd, or the illegal immigrational crowd, spend their time and much of our money accusing Republicans who oppose their self serving, unpatriotic and destructive bent, on the grounds of racism.

Here is the proof taken right off the website info that YOU posted. The very first example of an acceptable proof of ID they list is a DRIVER'S LICENSE
--------------------------------------
"NOTE: Be prepared to show proof of identification when you vote. Examples include your >>>>>> driverâs license <<<<<< or identification card.
Without identification or personal affiliation with the polling officer, you must vote provisionally. See below.
Provisional Voting
Even if youâve had some trouble with your voter registration or identification requirements, you may still be able to vote provisionally.
Examples of situations in which youâd be required to vote provisionally include:
Youâve registered to vote but your name doesnât show up on the roster.
You show up at the polls without proper identification and no personal acquaintance with the polling officer.
Your status has been challenged by all precinct election officers.
Talk with the election officers at your precinctâs polling place to find out if provisional voting is an option for you.
-------------------------------
The debate was never to develop the details of provisional voting, your area of obsession. The driver's license is the number one, hall of fame, go to form of ID at the polls.

They are supposed to just ask for an id, and the voter is to show them proof of their identity, and almost anything with the voters name on it is acceptable. Like I said, I've been through the training, and have sat as a challenger. Again, one more time, the voter chooses what form of id they show, out of the acceptable list. The number one form that voters show might be a DL(as it's usually easy to show), but it's not required. I never show a photo id to vote.

What is a "living wage"? It is rather hard to "screw" all these who don't work for a living. But, then, screwing is about all that they seem to be motivated to do.
