I sure hope they donât shock the home crowd! But either man, weâll all see you at Corbinâs Campbell field for a good game!

Alright, since I have talked some crap and made the thread somewhat interesting, now you get my real thoughts on the game. Going into the game, Corbin is the better team. I do believe Powell, and everyone else in the state of Kentucky knows this. However, if Corbin does come out sluggish and not ready to play, I do believe they will be in somewhat of a dog fight. I do see Corbin winning this game, but the margin of victory depends what team shows up on the field. You must give Powell credit. They did what they had to do to make it here, when in reality nobody thought they could. So, I do give Powell county a lot of credit despite my early posts. They play with a lot of heart, while they do not have big numbers on their team. The coach is a young, ambitious, good coach, and I am a big fan of him. With that being said:
Corbin team that shows up and plays hard:
Corbin- 45
Powell- 14
Corbin team that starts sluggish:
Corbin- 26
Powell- 14
Greer's defense EXTREMELY dependable.

I have to agree with you. There have been a couple of games this year that Corbin has started off like zombies. You don't need to do that this deep in the play offs.
I think Corbin is the better team, but Powell is not a push over and I believe they will give a great effort.
Makings for a good pay off game!!!

Youâre probably right. But off topic, it was a cheap shot and dumbfounded response to call corbin classless. Like we did it on purpose and it was our fault. The field and area around it is constrained. Not much room to put anything anywhere. Iâd like to see a new one built somewhere and âupdatedâ but I just donât think itâll ever happen. To much history and tradition there. At least the outcome of the game wasnât as âsh!ttyâ for you all as it was us😁

Good Luck to both teams. I'm hoping for a good injury free game to all the young men. Hounds, concentrate on Powell! Don't worry about Belfry or Central. Get through Friday night and I promise you one of them will be waiting on you guys. 1 game at a time!
This sounds like good advice!

Is this PC team young or upperclassmen overall?

According to KHSAA 7 sr, 10jr, 14 so, and 8fr. Donât know anything else just what I have seen on film. There stats show #15 rushing close to 1960 yards, #4 qb passed for about 1300. #26 is favorite target receiving, #51 and 16 leading tacklers. #2 is a ball hog on defense leads team in picks.

I said it before about that game and I will say it again about this game. I don't know if Powell will win this game or not but Corbin will know they were in a fight. These young men are hungry, focused and Coach Brewer & company always have this team well prepared. #GoPirates
As adults we get on here and talk smack and seem arrogant but we do not act this way with our players. Corbin is focused and well prepared and are not looking past Powell. They started this season and made a pact between them and have grown to be one unit. I know for a fact Haddix and hounds are without a doubt just as hungry and will not be sluggish, they will be firing on all cylinders and are more focused about fifteen games now that they are within three as anyone else. Best of luck to all, but GO HOUNDS.

Corbin over Powellâs
Central over Belfry
Corbin Over Central
Boyle over Corbin by 1 for the title....
Well for starters so did every Boyle fan when it came to middle school state also, but they couldnât find a td.they thought there offense was just amazing but our defense was better. Boyleâs offense is same as high schools and our defense is similar to middle schools. Boyle will not beat Corbin. I am still waiting on lambert and Wiener schnitzel to respond after a season of them talking Boyle this and Boyle that and Boyle went home runners up. This is different by all means but in two weeks we hope to make it a three in one and Boyle would be just as good as anyone to play for a title. But letâs both get there first, wonât be easy for either squad. Just hope there both healthy and make it so there are no excuses.

It took the Pirates some time to adjust and click as a team this year, just look at our record. Our boys have came together and became a family and they know what works now. These boys will put up a fight in this game I'm sure of it. The score will be a lot closer than you think. Hope for an injury free game from both teams, Goodluck to all and GO PIRATES!!

FatPat you need to meet the team in Richmond. Theyâre stopping at Loganâs. Gonna have free baked potatoes. Those carbs are gonna load up the bombs thatâs gonna get dropped

I think itâs time to make ole fat pat an honorary Haddix hound for the rest of the season. Hate that his team took an early exit but glad to have his support. Would also like to thank him for taking it easy on our bleachers, bell fans appreciated it they still left butt hurt though.

I think Corbin wins this game but these type of games are traps. With all respect in the world to Powell, this isn't who Corbin thought they would be playing. The Corbin and Casey fans, coaches, and players thought they were in for a rematch. Powell has earned their way to this game, but if the Corbin players have already got their mind on next week, Powell maybe giving them a much bigger fight than they expected. A lot of things mess with a 16 to 18 year old players mind. I hope it's a good game and injury free!
11-16-2017, 09:20 PM
That's a bit of a stretch there. Powell did beat Casey who looked like a decent team earlier this year in Corbin so...
11-16-2017, 09:25 PM
Big day for Powell!!! Corbin gets beat in the playoffs this year again by the Pirates, just a different group of them.Powell rolls on here 42-35!

Powell is gonna to take a bad loss they have proven when faced with adversity they crumble look at them in the bath county game if a team really gets after them they cant take it. The red hounds are on the hunt for six and Powell is just another stepping stone on the gauntlet get ready Stanton the Hounds are on the loose 56-18
