Harlan County did beat a very good Ashland team first game of the season. So, that does make sense. As far as a fan base that would use the injury excuse because they got destroyed in the playoffs, I couldn't possibly think of one.

Are you insinuating that the Belfry fan base did this??? There may have been folks who mentioned the injuries...but I haven’t seen many, if any, actual Belfry fans using injury as the main reason we lost.

I agree, fans outside the belfry fan base have made a much bigger deal about the injuries than belfry has. Anyone with any knowledge of football knows they had a huge impact on the game, but the pirates aren't excuse makers.

If you don’t think losing their two best skill players affected the outcome of the game then you never watched Belfry play much and really need your head examined they made the All State team for a reason and were a huge part of that team it’s not making excuses just the way it is.

Alabama got in playoffs because injuries will have healed and makes them a much better team. Injuries , must be taken into account. Many posters passes them off as it is just a part of game. It is a part but can change game drastically.
