Well I have saw #80 make some big plays against Harlan. And Harlan isn't a push-over. #34 made some big plays against some quality teams. And #81 (I think) dropped a TD pass against Central. So yes, there are more playmakers for this team. And they will make it back to the state championship. No one will be in there way. Belfry isn't going to be as good this year as they usually are. So its pretty much a clear way for Breathitt.

As long as Belfry's involved I don't think it will ever be a clear way. Belfry was saying the same thing about you guys last year. I just wouldn't count Coach Haywood out yet. And I'm not saying you guys can't win, I'm just saying that it won't be a walk in the park.

#81 Zack Epperson didnt drop a touchdown pass. he caught the onl touchdown pass of the game for breathitt.

Well I know someone dropped a big pass play. I'm not sure about who. I just thought it was him.

True, but then again....Belfry is losing some playmakers. While Breathitt is keeping theirs. I admit, anything can happen. But I just don't think Belfry can beat them next season.

Fugate and Haddix are big time play makers, but they wouldnt have done near as good without the good blocking from their o-line and WR. the way breathitt plays they dont care who makes the plays and scores the touchdowns, just as long as the job gets done.

That's very true. Then again, Belfry or Breathitt may not play each other next year in the semis. One of them, may lose before. But Breathitt won't overlook them...or they shouldn't. And I am sure Mike Holcomb won't let them overlook the Pirates. Or any team they play. He will have them practicing with the same intensity every game. No matter who the team is.

It's not hard... Fugatte is as good as there is in the state. Keep him healthy with the oline and they will go as far as he can take them!

This was a rare time when Fugate wasn't the fastest on the field. The speed kept on catching Fugate from behind....like they did after that 70 yard run.

They had to catch him from behind because when they got in front of them he ran over them.LOL.That #5 they had was I guess the fastest guy I have ever seen.

Good luck to Breathitt Co. next year!

Its kinda scary to me, but Channing will be in shape at the start of they year this year. Plus Jade will be better and other guys are gonna step up and make more of a contrabution to the team this year. Who a team works and conditions in the off season has alot to do with those game where both teams are evenly matched and either side can come out the winner. Breathitts off season program is second to none.

Breathitt had a LB that was not over 5'9 and 180 pounds and he did not have the common sense God gave a chicken, but he loved to hit people and they won a state title with him.....I am not going to say which year or player it was because I do not want him mad at me, he was mean!!!! What I am saying is that being "mean" can trump the "size" aspect of LB's....I have seen this guy jump into the away team's student section alone @ basketball games and get into fights.....Breathitt has some good football players and most are not as "mean" as this kid was....But many come from the same area......Kinda Scary......

Homer didn't get knocked out of the game, He was playing saftey and was the very one who got burned on Moore's pass to Watts. R.C. was hard core and loved to hit which made him a very good linebacker but he knew his reads and most of the time made the right reads which put him in a position to make a big hit or play. I don't care how hard you hit or how tough you are you have got to be able to read your keys which will put you in a position to make the play. I'd rather have a smaller, quicker guy who will read his run or pass keys than a big guy who can hit like a truck but flies up field like a wild man and runs right by the ball.. Linebackers have got to get their read keys and play down hill. GET YOUR READ, GET DOWN HILL, FILL THE OPEN WINDOW.

Breathitt ran a defense called 22 base. Tackles in 2 tech.'s and ends(anchors)
were in 5 tech.'s. They would walk a bandit up in a 9 tech. to the tight end(y).
Rover would be aligned away from Y. All the backers in this D had read keys.
