Right now it looks like Bell Co's to lose to me. I think they are about a TD better than Boyle this year...especially since it's at home.

I do not see the champion coming from the West.

After I went back and read my post, it did sound kind of pitiful. I hope East wins it ,but if they don't I will be rooting for Boyle.

This is how Bell County will win the 4A state title

1st Round- Boyd County WIN
District Finals- Lawrence County WIN
Regional Finals- Knox Central WIN
Semi-Finals- Boyle County WIN
State championship-Collins WIN 28-27

This will be Bell County #3 state championship.

The "real" state championship game will come when Bell and Boyle meet, and ill take Bell in that one 28-14.

I wish Boyle would have to play KNOX before they could play bell like bell will have to before they play Boyle.
I think that game would be a tight one.

I'm sure Rowan County will be no push over at home. I wouldn't be counting any chickens just yet. Odds are that both teams will, but It's not a given that Boyle and Bell will both be standing on November 26th.

Knox Central is alot better than most think. #2 defense in 4A will make them winners alone up until Region Championship.

Im a follower of Lexington Catholic so I think I have seen the best teams in the state,heck they have played them all.I didnt get to see Trinity but im sure they are very good.I saw St.X, Boyle, Those were the 2 best teams I saw Lex Cath play.personally I think Boyle the night I saw them play Lex Cath was better than any team I saw this year hands down.Lone Oak,Catholic should have beat them but bad play calling cost them that game.Intrested to see what Bell county has but is better be alot to beat Boyle they were a machine against Catholic.From what I have seen Boyle wins the state 4a

2007 - Lexington Catholic
2009 - Alcoa (Tn. State Champs)
2010 - Boyle Co.

Good comparison. This team this year is 10X the better team than those years above.

IMO this years team is better than the 08 squad. Alot more speed on both sides of the ball than 08.

WOW yall really dont know how good Western is.

I put their record up on a previous page as one of the contenders.

They've played a good schedule while going 7-3.

Western has played 5 teams with winning records, defeating 3 of them.

Biggest problems right now are that loss to a 5-5 Butler squad. Couple that with a bad game against a bad Valley team in Week 9 and a loss to Ballard in Week 10 doesn't have them entering the playoffs on a roll. Still they have some talent and athletes to make a run beyond the first couple of rounds.

Looks like they are run heavy and will need to develop a passing attack to make a deep run. :Thumbs:

The last game I saw them play was against Knox Central and that was a heck of a game.

I like Bell County's offense and there defense is really good don't be surprised if they give up less than 35 points in the playoffs.

Boyle's only loss in the last 39 games was to Bell County in 2008 who went on to win the state that year.

I think over the last 3 years, Boyle's schedule has been rated tougher than Bell's each year.
