So I email Spencer County's AD asking if they are still accepting applications/resumes for their head coaching position.

He emails me back

"we are currently doing the 1st round of interviews and should be setting up the 2nd round pretty soon."

WHAT!?!

That doesn't answer the question?

There used to be starting with when Gary McPeek was there as their head guy then Coach Damron they did well. With the right guy this good be a good job.

I have always felt East Carter could be a football school. They did have some good seasons in the mid 90's and again 5 or 6 years ago.

When will east carte be posted I ahve not seen a news release in the paper. Why does everyone talk about SV? He had a great 1st year and lost some outstanding young men from that team.

I am not certain it is open. I have a friend that lives in Grayson and is a big Raider fan and he said that he has not heard that he quit/got fired.

NO WAY! Coach Combs did a lot better his second year there and I thought for sure he could turn that program around given time! He has a great football mind and could do great at any program given the time and hardwork. Are you sure?

To my knowledge he is just taking the year off from coaching mainly for family.

2003 Class AA- State Runners Up
Great Academic school as well, probably one of the Top 10 Publics
About 700 kids, demographics comparable to Mayfield/Danville
Prideful school and community. There's not much they aren't good at.

Central Hardin (about 6 Miles From E-town HS)
6A
1,800 kids
Coming off one of the best years in the schoools 21 year history
They'll dress 80-90 10-12 with around 40 freshmen every year
Nice Facilities. Stadium set up looks a lot like Southwestern Pulaski
Huge Fieldhouse w/ a very nice weight room and dressing rooms for CH and visiting team (located right behind the stadium).

Did Central Hardin upgrade their facilities? I was there about 6 years ago and it wasn't as nice as you make it sound.
