Central by running clock any thing else would be surprising.
TIGERZ Wrote:Central by running clock any thing else would be surprising.

Time will tell 65 hours 15 minutes till kickoff.
Sticking with hounds 28-20
Central by as many as they want in this one.

You also picked clay co to beat western and south western to get a running clock. So all in all, I like your pick. Hope that luck continues👍🏻

Good luck Corbin on your hunt for 4
Happy Thanksgiving Corbin Redhounds and posters :Cheerlead Go Hounds :Cheerlead
I don’t think that I have posted to many times on Corbin’s threads. They ended my career at Belfry by beating my team many and I say many years ago. The LORD teaches us if we can’t forgive how do expect to be forgiven. So I am won old Pirate cheering for Corbin the rest of the way. Now go get those yellow jackets and bring that 3a trophy back to the mountains
Hounds by 14 - here are the factors I used to arrive at my predictions.

Corbin Depth.+7

Corbin Travel - Central +7

Central Home +7

Corbin Coaching +21 - No Better staff in the state of KY. I'd bet Corbin has more wins combined on that staff as varsity head coaches than any other staff in KY, it's amazing that Corbin can get these guys to turn down nice head coaching jobs and join a team they worked so hard to beat. If you can't beat'em... join'em. I have so much respect for Coach Haddix for pulling this off, these truly are Haddix Hounds, and will go down in history as it's most revered head coach, as well as one of the best in the state. I see multiple State Championships in his future.

BTW.. I'm still sticking with Boyle by 1 in the championship game over Corbin.
Will this game be streamed online?

Happy Thanksgiving! Go Hounds!!!
KHSAA lists Corbin with 3 titles. In 70’s and 80’s. KHSAA goes back to 59 I believe. What years did Corbin win their other 2 titles? Who was their opponent? Score?

I found on the KHSAA website on Corbin's titles:

1976 6-0 over Mayfield
1980 16-7 over Ft. Campbell
1982 18-6 over Glasgow

1955 was one. I’d have to look up the others.
Before 1959 there was a bowl system in ky high school football. After the regular season, teams were selected for bowl games and the champion was "declared" by the courier journal I believe. In 1955 Corbin was "declared" champion by the courier journal. Corbin also claims one in 1939. It is a more controversial one because the CJ declared someone else the champion, but I think Corbin may have had a "share" of it. I'm not sure about the 39 one, some of these older or more knowledgeable hounds may be able to fill in the gaps. Honestly, I'm curious myself.
Yea the ‘39 is really the only disputable one. It’s no different than when the NIT was the national tourney for the most part. But that’s another debate.

Did anyone go to the field tonight for the practice?
Woke up with the feeling this will be a close game, dogfight. Thinking, maybe, just maybe Corbin is the better team between them and belfry, especially at this point with their injuries. #12 for Corbin is probably as good an athlete as anyone on central....this may be the game of the year in 3A.

I believe the CJ used their Litkenhouse Formula to declare a State Champion prior to 1959. (FWIW, yes it is THAT Litkenouse formula we debate about today.).

As to comparing it to College Basketball it is more comparable to the Helms Foundation Champions. UNC officially claimed theirs from 1924 until they won enough tourneys to be equal with Duke.
I wonder why no other schools ( Trinity, Highlands, Mayfield etc ) don’t claim any of those championships. I know others would have had some.
See y’all in Louisville tonight first stop Churchill Downs :Cheerlead
Go Hounds.
