Nice turf field. On schedule to have turf replaced next year. Plenty of good parking at field and people line the road for the biggest games. Visitors seating is good not great. Nice aluminum bleachers but should have been bigger IMO. Plenty of standing room around 3/4 of the field. Nice concessions with all the standards. The hot dogs with chili are top notch. Press box is above average but not as open as I would like but works very well. All in all a really nice place to watch a game.

Provided we both win, how early do we need to get to the field to guarantee a seat?

I would assume Boyle will bring a great following. I would think 530-6 you will be fine.

Have a good game against Lawrence County (which I know Boyle will) and a safe trip next weekend to Belfry and would like to get to meet you but if Pikeville beats Lynn Camp I will be elsewhere. But donât worry about coming to Belfry for the most part they all are good people just love their Pirates as you do your team. Just stay safe in your travels.

I'm hearing the 4 lane from Pikeville to Belfry will be shut down for the remainder of the playoffs (as long as Belfry is winning), all bus traffic will now have to go over Bent and Coeburn mountains.....

This station carries all Belfry games. You will not find better announcers for high school games. They are Belfry announcers, but are by no means "homers". You'll hear it like it is.

Itâs raining here but say it going to be about 30% chance at 6:00 and drops down in percentage until about 10 then goes up to 45%

I'll say this to our Lex.Cath and Boyle County (if that game happens) friends, when you make the turn on 119 at Pikeville coming to Belfry please be very careful, especially if the road is wet. I'm telling you I've been all over our great country and this stretch of 4 lane, when wet, is one of the slickest and most dangerous I've ever been on. And once you cross the last mountain into Belfry, it's the worse. I dont know what it is, seems like the road is angled the wrong way or something I dont know. But be careful! I'd hate to hear someone got hurt coming to a football game. And if you know the bus drivers, let these people know. I've seen out of town bus drivers come down this stretch trying to do the speed limit. Dont, its 55mph and should be 35. Please pass along and be safe!

That section was designed and put in mid-70's into the 80's. It bisected communities, so it's flat but curvy. I always questioned that. But the other sections are "straighter" from there to Pikeville. It cut thru the hills bypassing a lot of communities. Still, everyone should pay attention. Wet roads are not good, no matter where you are. All please drive carefully.

I meant to say "slanted" not "angled" the wrong way. Seems like when you go into one of these curves, its slanted out instead of in. And it also seems like theres an "oily substance" that comes out of it when it rains. I was told that that is from all the coal trucks traveling the road down the years that leaked oil and the coal dust that layed on the road every day that bedded itself in the road that makes it slick when wet. But not sure if that's the case. Just wanted outsiders to know and be careful. I want to win every game and would like to see the Pirates put a running clock on anyone that comes to Pond Creek but not near as much as I want to see these kids, and fans, make it to the game and back home safe, win or lose.

I would like to add this in case you get turned around or your GPS sends you in the wrong direction. If you see Wal-Mart at Pikeville. You go up 119 directly across from Wal-Mart. A GPS or a person not from Pike County can easily go the wrong way

It is hard to win at Belfry. Tough place to play with big fan turnout.
